American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University - RN to BSN
I haven't seen anything that requires us to upload proof. It would be hard to prove face-to-face communication or telephone communication which is how I have been communicating with my mentors. I know I had to provide their email and professional resume with their contact information. So, they have their contact information if they want to follow up with your mentor.

For the SIMPath RN to BSN there are 8 modules with 4 assignments each class. That's the competency, the modules and assignments. You follow the rubric they give and decide how to present the assignment (a paper, PowerPoint, video, or other option). The rubric tells you. In PE 437 you have to complete the Shadow Health assessments in addition to the 4 assignments.

Hello, Readings- articles, websites, videos, learning activities. Some are helpful. Any added coursework they want completed. It gives you guidance to the assignments and the competencies listed in the syllabus and for the course. I don't know what the MSN program is like and I don't know if the SIMPath for the MSN is structured the same. I work full time and this program has been great for that. I probably could have finished in 2 semesters if I wasn't working. Each semester is 16 weeks. There are "quick guides,” like they have one for RN to BSN. I'm not sure what they have available for MSN though. Something you can ask for though if you are work with an advisor or someone at the school. I hope this helped. ?

American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University - RN to BSN
Hello, I am currently enrolled in all 3 PE courses and it's pretty easy. There are 8 modules per course, 4 assignments per class, with all the readings and whatever extras they add. PE 421 & PE 432 are the only ones with mentor requirements. They need to hold an active RN that has a BSN. They require a screen shot of their active license through Nursy's, The RN to BSN quick guide with sample PE experience paper pretty much mimics what you fill out. You need 5-10 Hours of communication with your mentor (email, phone, or in-person). PE 421 has to do with a change project and PE 432 has to do with community health nursing. Once your in the class you'll see what you need to dis us with your mentor. Honestly it's really not a lot. You are just talking to them about the topic and/or population you pick for the assignments. You can use the same mentor for both classes. PE 437 doesn't require a mentor but requires you to buy Shadow Health. 30 hours each class so 90 hours total unless you live in Washington state. Then it's 100 hours, the extra 10 being in PE 432. Hope this helps.

American Sentinel College of Nursing/Post University - SIMpath®
I am doing the SIMPath and I just finished my 6th class. I started in June and only took 2 classes the first semester due to some personal reasons. I have 4 classes left and am on track to be done by June, hopefully sooner. I'm glad that I chose to go here for my BSN. It's very manageable while working full time.

I am currently attending and about to finish my 3rd and 4th classes (started Oct 21) and enroll in 2 more. It's work at your pace. Not hard and I am trying to do 1-2 assignments each week. Each class has modules with readings and resources for the assignments and 4 assignments. Follow the rubrics for your assignments and you'll do fine. I work full time so I do school work on my 3 days off.

No, I pushed back my start date to this month due to work and my son graduating. I will be starting in a couple weeks. Yes, the term-based is 8 week terms, mostly discussion posts and papers, it's structured and has due dates; while the SIMPath is work at your own pace, 16 weeks, each class has a certain number of assignments to complete and you have a choice on whether to write a paper, power point, or whatever requirement to prove you mastered the material. I also liked this school because I won't have to complete any in person clinicals, but I have what they call practical experiences that are virtual. I would recommend that you call and speak with someone to get your questions answered and information about the program. I feel that is a better way for my to get my RN to BSN. I wish you luck in your journey!

RN to BSN at Post University aka American Sentinel College of Nursing
I'm getting ready to start the RN to BSN program at Post university in April and I am wondering if anyone has recently gone to this school? I have seen older reviews from a few years ago. I am enrolled in the SIMPath. Any advice or reviews welcomed! TIA

Tacoma Community College Nursing applicants 2018/2019
Awesome!! Congratulations you guys!! I was called yesterday by the nursing dept and was asked to make my decision about going to Green River for the LPN program and then TCC in 2020 for 1 year RN. I told that I was #9 on the alternate list and d ou didn't want to forfeit my place and that I didn't want to extend out my education an additional year. She said I am to far down the list to get into the program and will have to reapply. I told her that for now I accepted the Respiratory Therapy offer at TCC. Not a total loss. But it doesn't make sense to have a waitlist and I know last year an alternate #10 got in.

I thought the lottery was for both fall and winter. Mine said I didn't get in for fall as well. I just assumed that was for both quarters, but now I am not sure. I know that an alternative 10 last year got in so my fingers are still crossed. For now I accepted the RT offer due to not getting into nursing. I am commuting from Orting.
