T.V. Drugs for NCLEX (Share)***

Published

Hello Allnurses,

I wanted to know if anyone knew of a website that may list the newer drugs that are being advertised on television and magazines. From reading this forum and through word of mouth it seems important to study those drugs in addition to the old drugs of course for the state boards. In the mean time I was hoping we could all generate a list of the drugs we have seen advertised on television. Truthfully, I haven't been paying much attention to the advertised drugs until now but I will continue to post as I see them. Best of Luck to everyone.

So far I have seen Abilify (aripiprazole)- antidepressant. :)

Cymbalta- Anti-depressant

Lipitor- statin, lipid-lowering agent

Fluoxetine (Prozac) antidepressant

Eszopiclone (Lunesta) sleep aid

Zolipidem (Ambien) sleep aid

Modafinil (Provigil) sleep aid

Armodafinil (Nuvigel) sleep aid

HI

I would suggest you to go to http://www.drugs.com/. You can find most popular drugs that are seen on TV also.

There is an alphabetical order ,so you can review it one per day

Good luck

Hi everyone!

My drug book that I used throughout nursing school has online software, and It has an nclex style exam with over 300 pharmacology questions. If any of you have a nursing drug book check either the front or back of your books, see what resources are available for you and practice pharmacology questions :) Best of luck to you all future test takers, I am one of them ;)
