The Sylvia Rayfield touts about the extremely high pass rate (98%) so I ordered the cd-review course. It has 11 cd's--only a total summation of about 4 are actual review info. The other summation of 7 are the instructor carrying on about this patient she had, this child she adopted, the patient on a vent that actually asked her to stay----Don't order this crap unless you ask when it was recorded...and is there a return policy---anything less than 6-months old recorded--forget it.
The review course has the potential to be outstanding---just too dam many exaggerated examples

I feel your pain...should have went with Hurst Review. They have taken over a bunch of reviews that Sylvia used to do because when people take Hurst they don't go back. Hurst has 99% pass rate and the review could not be better, take it from some of the post you see here on the forum. http://www.hurstreview.com. Hopefully you can get your money back! Good luck anyway.

Why am I not surprised to hear from you, TexasCCRN:chuckle . I'm really thinking about heeding your suggestion of taking the course prior to starting clinical.

Go with Hurst Review (www.hurstreview.com). It's the best review out there. I took Kaplan before I took the NCLEX the 1st time and it cost $400, but they guarantee you'll pass or you get your money back. Well guess what... I got my money back. I read posts from TexasCCRN about Hurst so I decided to look at their web site and it looked great. They didn't have any "live" reviews in my area, so I decided to do the online review (it costs $195... i think) and so far I love it. Marlene is fabulous! She has you laughing and learning at the same time. Plus the online course gives you an outline to follow along with her lecture, a section to type notes while you watch, and the ability to ask questions. It's great! If you have any questions let me know!
