  1. I failed the test three times so I know the feeling....>>.I'm hear to tell you I tried all those books and stuff>>>didn't help>>> My success was possible from the HURST REVIEW program....I took it online>>>that lady with the southern drawl really breaks things down to extremely basic... Take Hurst Review>>>don't worry about others that passed..stay focused on your success....I know it's easier said but you are hearing from someone that was in your shoes 3 times.... Make it happy...no more pity parties.....DO IT.!!!!!!!!!1
  2. What I think finally helped me>>was that I made a true commitment to preparing daily. I made a commitment to studying and doing the Hurst Review a minimum of 2hrs every single day come hell or high water--I bought a t-mobile wifi card and changed study locations every 2 days at mostly starbucks. I decided on 2hrs because it was realistic and I could do it and stay fresh the entire time. I set a new test date exactly 6 weeks from enrolling in the review course online and registered for that to eliminate procrastination and give myself some pressure and forced commitment.....BOOM!!!!!!!!!! It paid off at 92 questions.....So I say outline a schedule and don't try to study more than 2hrs at a time>>it becomes redundant and you lose focus. Stay positive---RN soon
  3. You will do fine....what are you using to prepare???
  4. Don't fade...are you in FL??>..stay positive and please w/b keep in touch Derek Dodd, RN
  5. First are you in Florida? i\If so and you've taken the test three times you must do a remedial course if you want to retest in Florida and Hurst Review does not fulfill that requirement. Remedial course involves doing clinicals and this cost approx $1200 from what I understand. I didn't want to drop $1200 on a remedial course so I took Hurst Review which is a NCLEX prep course and sat for the board in GA. Passed in GA and simply applied for a FL license through reciprocity. My main reason for going to GA was I did not want to do a $1200 remedial course and potentially do clinicals with some of my classmates that were now fully employed.--Stay positive--I know that's a tall order but trust me--after you get that RN license, no one gives a dam how many times it took you to get it...:-) Do w/b--I want to help as much as I can because as you know---I've been there
  6. Not afraid to say--3 times I came up short--4th was the charm..I'M OFFICIALLY PART OF THE RN CLUB---Hurst Review is worth every penny!!!
  7. The Sylvia Rayfield touts about the extremely high pass rate (98%) so I ordered the cd-review course. It has 11 cd's--only a total summation of about 4 are actual review info. The other summation of 7 are the instructor carrying on about this patient she had, this child she adopted, the patient on a vent that actually asked her to stay----Don't order this crap unless you ask when it was recorded...and is there a return policy---anything less than 6-months old recorded--forget it. The review course has the potential to be outstanding---just too dam many exaggerated examples
  8. Megan, I too had difficulty and will be taking the test for the 4th time. I recently obtained the Kaplan and just got Slyvia Rayfield's review tapes...Why did you say the review sucked.?? I'm also doing Mosby's questions cd..?. Nurseneedshelp
  9. It certainly is frustrating and disappointing but we MUST remain optimistic. I"m currently using the following books by Sylvia Rayfield NCLEX-RN 101:HOW TO PASS (ISBN 0964362295) Pharmacology made insanely easy (ISBN 0964362244) SylviaRayfield.com--Im ordering her review course on cd $99 We can do this girlfriend...just remain positive, upbeat and determined. 10. Has anyone taken the Feuer Nclex RN review.??..I'm thinking of ordering the lecture cd's....any help or anyone has the cd's for sale..
  11. Has anyone taken the Feuer Nclex RN review.??..I'm thinking of ordering the lecture cd's....any help or anyone has the cd's for sale..
  12. Just found out I can take the test in another state and get FL license by endorsement....gonna use Saunders and focus on doing at least 100 questions/day for 45 days and really focusing on strategies...I WILL NOT FAIL THIS TEST AGAIN>>>THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT
  13. the purpose of going to another state will be solely to avoid taking the $1100 remedial class here in FL....which study courses do you recommend
  14. I've failed the Florida NCLEX 3 times now I have to take this $1100 mandatory remedial course. What the hell is going on?.I used Kaplan and Saunders and just don't know what is going wrong? I'm wondering can I take the test in another state and get FL license by endorsement. $1100 is not a drop in the bucket...Also which study programs do you recommend...Feuer / Kaplan /..?? Help me before I explode...this really has me down
