we had it pretty severe bought a month ago............. hope this is the last i see of it. cuz we r a charter school, we were able to tweak some things to send the barely sick ones home and require them to stay home for 48 hrs after the fever broke. parents were freakin, yet i do believe it was better for every one concerned.

Well, if this pandemic follows the patterns of other historical pandemics, we will see multiple waves. I think that a week or so after a school holiday that brings diverse age groups and geographical populations together is a very safe bet for predicting the next wave. If I remember right, the first wave last spring happened a couple weeks after spring break. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.
Of course, this is the first time in history that there has been a vaccine for a pandemic flu, so it will be interesting to see how that affects the cycles. Maybe not much effect yet because the vaccine is not widely available in many areas, and because some people are unwilling to get the shot.
It is all fascinating from an epidemiology standpoint. Sucks from a school nurse standpoint, though.

I figure after Christmas break... the pigs will start flying again :0)
We have slowed down quite a bit here, but I don't think it's gone. I think the regular Flu will peak and brink along another sweep of the H1N1.
