SWIC Nursing Program Summer 17

Published

Hello everyone. Who all applied for the summer 17 program? Do anyone have any information about the DET exam? How is the nursing program at SWIC?

Is anyone going to be working fulltime? I just accepted an evening position 3-11 pm in hopes that I will be accepted so I really need those letters to come out tomorrow lol.

I'm working 4:30pm-1am 4 days a week. So it's technically part time, but still 32 hours a week...I hope I adjust to my new sleep schedule before classes start in August!

Don't we have a class that starts in june?

I am right along with you guys cjmmm5 and Sarah112 with only having 18 points and I'm literally dying over here. I really hope the letters come out tommorow because that's what I've been banking on this entire wait.

Staceychenell, I'll be working part time while in school. I work two 12 hour shifts a week from 6:45pm to 7:15am

Yes, dosing calculations. But just having one class will be a break from the 3 I'm taking this semester. I've been pretty tired on the days after I work, but I've only been working there for a little over a week. So I'm hoping come August I will be more adjusted.

Ugh I am so nervous! Has it ever been more than 18 points? My luck, it will be this year!

I spoke with a counselor she stated someone has 24 points this year but nobody has ever had that amount of points. I think we will all be fine. We gotta think positive!

Sarah112 , I said the exact same thing í ½í¸¢ I really hope it's not though. I think the highest it ever has been was 18 but I'm not 100% sure though.

Positive thinking (begging myself to believe that haha). I called yesterday to verify my points and she said they weren't finalized. I wonder if they are today? That might be a good determining factor to see if we will

be contacted tomorrow! I can't wait any longer haha

I said the exact same thing...the year I have 18, it'll take more.

I dont know if I'll be working. If I am, it'll be part time evenings/weekends. Tomorrow is my last day at my full time job.

I csnnot imagine someone having 24 pts! That's crazy. That means they literally got every point minus having CNA, etc.

Hopefully today is the day!! My stomach is a nervous mess!
