Hello everyone. Who all applied for the summer 17 program? Do anyone have any information about the DET exam? How is the nursing program at SWIC?
The RN-BSN program at the other school I'm currently enrolled in requires CHEM105 but I'm thinking of switching to Bama by distance (the University of Alabama) for their bridge program instead since I will only need 6 classes (and they are the nursing courses only unless I need a higher Chemistry which they don't offer online). I just need to find out what Chemistry they require before summer registration starts.
Ok I got 2 points on Math and 2 points on English which puts me at 19. I'm so happy that part is over!!! Now the wait and recalculating of points over and over begins lol. I also need to find a evening position in my current career so I can go to class in the mornings/afternoons. Any 2nd years reading comments by chance please share approximately what time we're out of class each day....thanks!
I know someone in the end of the first year. The only thing not on there for the schedule is lab for one of the classes and clinical times. She said we need a couple hours once clinicals start to go to the hospital and get all that stuff situated the day before too so take that into consideration. We won't have clinicals until after 103 starts mid September ish towards the end. She sent me the hours and her schedule looked intimidating plus not even having study time factored in.
Staceychenell, I found her schedule that she sent me.
The first four weeks was 102 class on Mon 10-12, Tues 8-12, Wed 8-2, Thurs - off, Fri 8-2
With 104 class on Mon 8-10
After 102 ended, she had 103 class on Mon 10-12, Tues 10-12 (103 lab), Wed off (except time at hospital getting patient info for clinicals which was 1-1.5 hrs), Thurs clinical 7-11, Fri 103 10-12.
with 104 class on Mon 8-10 still.
I hope that helps you some in figuring out a schedule!! Also they have some notes listed as public on quizlet if you want to look at some of the stuff ahead of time!
When she first sent me that it felt very overwhelming but the first class is only four weeks so just remember that! Also, the last year is two class each half of the semester. Clinical time will be more but maybe you'll have more time to work then. That's when I'm planning on taking my two remaining classes for my other degree.
