This forum is for the new grad RN Residency Program starting in Sept 2013, at Swedish Medical Center, in Seattle, WA.
FYI- I had my interview for the general medical unit last Tuesday and was told I'd hear back this week! However they say they usually hire only one person for that unit, sometimes two. Interview went fine but there were many questions that had negatives in them (a time of peer conflict, a time you messed up, a criticism you've received, etc) so those are always fun to try and spin into positives Congrats to you guys who heard back and were hired :)
oh bummer :/ I don't know exactly what they are looking for, but I am ACLS certified. I also did sports, and some volunteering at community health fairs as well as study abroad and was lucky enough to have a lot of neuro experience through my capstone and clinical in school. Best of Luck to you!
Hey sapi, I just received the contract yesterday after being offered the job a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if this goes for all departments, but I would expect it soon. As far as where to live, Seattle has lots of great neighborhoods, it just depends on what kind of vibe/place you are looking for.
