Swedish Medical Center Residency 2015

Published

Hi...Has anyone seen a posting about Swedish's Residency program for the July/August 2015 cohorts? I would think that they would be posted around now, but I haven't seen any.

Thanks!

Congrats!!! Good luck on your interview?

I'm glad to hear that they are accepting out of state applicants.

How long after applying did you hear back from them?

Hi guys!

I had an HR interview about 2 weeks ago and was asked to have an interview with the nurse manager! Has anyone had a panel/nurse manager interview yet? Good luck to everyone!

What do you mean you answered some of the application questions wrong? I haven't heard back either, and from my understanding getting a phone call means you qualify for the position. (Not 100% but from past topics this seems to be the case). Which...we all do?

I had a panel interview last week. I've never had an interview like that before. They were extremely friendly.

Rainier, I am graduating this Spring with a BSN but under qualifications, for education completed...I put none because I am not technically finished. I changed it to BSN. Hopefully my app will get seen now. I'm wondering if it might have gotten out in the wrong pile because of that.

Oh sweet! What unit did you interview for willimina? That's awesome that it went well for you!

Congrats to everyone thats making progress and good luck to those of us that have not. (:

HopefulMangolia: Oh good! I put that down but I put "in progress" because I don't graduate until...the end of this month. Time flies! Hopefully changing it will get you a phone call!

I actually got a Voicemail because I was in class and then an email shortly after. Looks like the first interview is with recruitment for 30 minutes. Because I'm out of state, I'm going to see if I can do a phone interview first. I'll let you know.

So I'm scheduled next week for a phone interview, so all you out-of-staters, it's possible. Looks like they're technically recruiting for July, but said if they're interested in you, you can start at a later day. First interview is with recruitment and then with specific managers. Hope this helps - good luck.

Hey guys! I have an interview for the postpartum floor next week. Has anyone had a panel interview before at Swedish? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

willimina, which unit did you interview for? What was it like? Glad to hear you had friendly interviewers!

Good luck to everyone!

I interviewed in the ICU. There were six interviewers and they asked behavioral questions. It wasn't nearly as intimidating as I had expected.

williminia, thanks for the response! Did they tell you when to expect to hear back from them regarding the position? Just curious what their timeline is like. Hope you get it!

They said it would be 1-2 weeks. I imagine it will depend on the unit though. Good luck in your post partum interview! I found it helpful to read through previous threads on here and I searched the web for behavioral interview question tips. Remember to be yourself! They're just people. :)
