SW Boces Entrance Exam

Hey everyone! I will be applying to swboces this week. I am just waiting on my second recommendation letter. I took the teas and received a 85.3 overall. Reading 81%,math 91% and Language 91%. Do you think TEAS/nursing entrance books should be enough for the CNET? I ended up taking the TEAS for other programs that required them. I plan on going for the day program. Unfortunately I exhausted all my pell grant at WCC doing the ADN program. Any past grads needed to take out any loans? And congrats to everyone that has been accepted.

I think the teas is harder then cnet cause it goes to algebra and cnet didn't have algebra so u should be fine !!!

Today I registered for the background check and the other requirements and made my appt with my primary for the Physical.How are you doing with this process?

Yayy sounds good ! Im just waiting to get 2 more of the requirements done ..are u waiting on ur packet from them ? I wonder when we're getting that ..it'll be nice to get it early so we can read ahead..I heard we already have homework due the first week ..did u have to get ur fingerprints done?

Hi!

I called and the guy said they will start sending out the book list package in June.

The site that lists all the requirements doesn't have fingerprints so I guess it's not required any more.

I have started studying some basic medical terminology as a warm up, what about you?

Thanks for the info! Id def be looking forward to that package now ...I've been reading up on A&P trying to get a bit of a head start ...are u taking the prep class available before orientation?

Hello there!

No,I am not taking the class as I will be out of town in August.

And that is why I called again today to see if they have started sending out the packages and the guy on the phone was really rude.He said he doesn't know sonetime this summer and then he hang up on me,geez! I would like to meet him in person when we start,looks like he really hates his job!

Anyway, I will keep studying on my own and wait for the book list.

Enjoy your trip ! We definitely need to make the best of our summer now ..he was probably getting asked a lot that's why he got the attitude..cause people also ask about their exam scores and interview dates ..but hey it is his job ! lol I'll keep u posted if I get anything !

I just found out I was accepted this past Saturday and I had my interview early last week :-) see everyone in the fall I love that we can use this forum as a way to communicate prior to the program starting

So I took the CNET exam yesterday and feel ok about it. The math threw me off. It was a lot of basic math. I wish I would have know the ratio and proportion was towards the end of the section cause I would have done that first because I am more familiar with those problems. Overall I feel confident even though I had to rush with the math. Hopefully I get accepted.
