SW Boces Entrance Exam

Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!

Hey MrPink! I would like to be in the day program also. I work in the evenings and it would give me the opportunity to attend school in the daytime then go to work right after. I would only be working 3 nights a week however, not everyday since that would be too much for me lol

I just received my results earlier today and found out i didnt get over 50 percentile. I did good in reading and language but horribly in math ugh. Does anyone know of any programs in the area that have january admissions for their programs?

the interview was easier than i thought. the only thing about the morning program is that she encourages her morning students not to work or work part-time.

Hi Alicia, How is the program u should be graduating soon right? Was it as tough and exhausting as you thought it would be?

I took my test last Thursday, and im just waiting now, i JUST have a feeling i failed the math, I was super prepared but i just froze during the test. because the format wasn't what i was expecting... but praying. "fingers crossed"

yes. i have just a few weeks to go. graduating on the 21st. it definitley is tough. i pretty much altered my entire world to focus in this program. yet every1 is different. personally i decided no to work while in this program. it would have been too much for me to do it, work and have anytime for my 5 year old. however there are people that i know worked full time with kids and are doin very well. just takes knowing who u r and what works best for u. coincidentally, i took my entrance exam last year the thurs before memorial day weekend too. if u did great on 2 and not so good on one u still have a pretty good chance. u should get ur letter/ phone call by next week. keep me posted.
