SW Boces Entrance Exam

Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!

I took the test on May 12th and they do send rejection letters to those who failed the test and didn't get into the first round. I received mine a week after I took the test and know 2 others who received a letter also. You should be fine with those scores though. Good luck!

Hi guys! does anyone know how much money you need to provide when you get accepted in the program? Do they help you with financial aid and student loan? anyone know the code for SWBOCES for financial aid? Thanks for your help :)

call the school and they will provide you with the code, once you are accepted in the program they will let you know how much money is required. I just graduated from the program on 06/21/2011, its a good program, you will learn a lot.

I got a letter saying I didn't qualify For the first round. But today I got a call for an interview, I was confused and happy lol. They said since I was a Cna, n had experience they would give menan interview and talk over my application. So idk we'll see, but she did ask what program i was interested in and i said Day. Maybe people didn't pass, or pay? Anyways wish me luck pleaaase lol

Mr Pink...I was wondering what happened to you, I am so glad that you've got that phone call, be optimistic, go to that interview, dress appropriately and be confident, everything will work out just fine, do let us know the date of your interview and I will tell you what the questions are.

Thanks deedee. I'm planning on wearing slacks n a button down shirt. My interview is this Monday the 18th.

Btw: I am a female, lol. People always assume im a guy because of the "mrpink". It's my favorite character from a movie. Hehe

First impression counts, if you are wearing a slack, make sure you wear a jacket..., if not invest in a suit, it doesn't hurt. In regards to the questions...you will be asked:

1. Why do you want to be a LPN.

2. What are the duties of a LPN

3. What are the challenges you think you will have

4. What is/was the hardest decision you had to make in your life

5. How do you plan to study

6. How do you plan to pay for school

Make sure you take your job id and another form of identification, I am praying for you and hope all goes well.
