SW Boces Entrance Exam

Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!

did you pay today? because i picked up the letter at 2pm right as they were closing...like i said in my other post i left a message with financial aid letting them know my situation..still really nervous about loosing my spot not sure what i should do..thanks for responding though :)

i payed it a few weeks ago. quick question? when is your acceptance letter dated?

its dated for the 8th, but they sent it out twice and i never got it so i spoke with Dina in the office today and she said I could wait until registration to pick it up, I told her I'd rather come get it so I have it with me when I come..had I not went today I would have never even known, I wasn't given any details over the phone. Just a lot of confusion really, and I hope that I don't have to pay the consequences for it . Thanks for sending me the assignment too, that was like really fast :) appreciate it.

Arodriguez, did you get accepted to Southern Westchester Boces in Elmsford, NY? Because we only had to pay $900 from two weeks of the date of our award letter and then come up with another $800 by August 30th for books/supplies.

no western suffolk boces. not really sure what to do, i will call financial aid again on monday though because i have my loans and pell grant in place.

OK, because all of us on the thread were accepted into the LPN program located in Elmsford. All BOCES schools probably run things a little differently. You should definitely contact the school first thing Monday morning and tell them the situation. They should be able to help. Good luck.

Hey Alicia, by the way that's my fake name I use to give to guys trying to holla when i was single. I just wanted to know if you started the h.w. assignment and how is it going. the same question for you lpnin2011. I know in my acceptance letter it says the h.w. is about medical abb and terminology. I will be paying my deposit next Thursday. I was wondering if someone can send it to my e-mail add so i can get a head start.

hey gigi, i know you are attending a diff. boces but did they give you a deadline to pay your deposit? If you read my previous posts I got my letter on the day they wanted the money, so I haven't paid them yet..really nervous about loosing my spot..I left a message, but this whole weekend I'm going nuts because I can't talk to anyone there or do anything until monday. Sorry for continuing to post about this I just really need to settle my nerves...

Hi Arodriguez, I totally understand. yes they did give me a deadline two weeks. when you do speak to someone on Monday, you should ask for the director of the program, once you explain your situation, hopefully they will grant you more time for the deposit. I will definitely keep my fingers cross for you.
