wouldnt it be nice if we could all learn to support each other both professionally and personally. in the last few weeks i have seen my co workers support each other during personal crisis, i only wish more people would do this sometimes all it takes is a kind word or a hug, you never know what a difference you can make in someones day

You are so RIGHT ON THE MONEY, HONEY! I've always said, nurses are our own worst enemy.

wow I'm really gonna hafta go thank the nurses I work with, because for the most part I feel really supported and that they care how I'm doing and whats up, we are a supportive bunch
I dont feel like any of them are my worst enemy or any of us are "out to get" another
I guess I am lucky
thanks for the perspective .....
cheers

In my 20 years of nursing, I felt TOTAL and complete support from other nurses, and coworkers. THAT bond couldn't have been stronger. Where it was oftentmies felt to be lacking, was between staff/field nurses, and middle/upper management.

I have tried to always support my co-workers both on a long term and on a day to day basis. To me, supporting my co-workers is second only to being the pts.' advocate. I think that is why I've been in this one unit so long-- most people are supportive (but as I've said before, we aren't perfect yet).
