Hello everyone,
I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.
The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.
Just couple of reminders before we get started:
1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.
2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.
3. Please stay on topic.
4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Thank you all.

The nurse managers are supposed to find out if the graduate nurse has failed before he/she does. This does not always happen. I know of a case last year where the nurse manager only found out when the grad nurse called her. In some provinces you can continue to work as a grad nurse until you have failed 3 times (New Brunswick is one province). In Nova Scotia, if you fail once you can no longer work as a grad nurse - your temporary license is revoked immediately.
You have all been extremely helpful. Thanks so much for the replies! krmg, I've been checking my temp licence every day on the CNO website too! So far, so good. And I've been working everyday at the hospital with my manager present and no word from her. So fingers crossed. Atleast these threads have allowed me a good night sleep for once. :) Unfortunately, Ontario is a province where your temp is immediately revoked and you cannot work after you fail. So a lot more is riding on the line in these siutations. Maybee I'll move out East, I'd fit in well with the Newfies or in New Brunswick! haha. But positive thinking! Best of luck to everyone still waiting. xo

taylocan, if you have a temporary licence, it is my understanding it is immediately revoked when the CNO discovers you failed the CRNE. This would mean your manager may know you failed before you do. If you did not know already, you can "find" yourself on the CNO website (provided you have a temporary licence) under the "Find a nurse" section of the site (right side of the main page). I've been checking my status everyday and so far I still have my temporary licence, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a surefire way of knowing my results before they are actually mailed. Hope that helps a bit.
