Support group for CRNE June 2011

Published

Hello everyone,

I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.

The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.

Just couple of reminders before we get started:

1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.

2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.

3. Please stay on topic.

4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.

Thank you all.

New Brunswick Canada results were mailed on Friday July 8th!

Nova scotia results were mailed on 30th June!

Last year Ontario started seeing results by the 16th it seems and that was without a postal strike. I will still check the mail -just in case- but I wouldn't be surprised to see it until Friday(at the earliest) or sometime next week.

This waiting is for sure trying though, it is a great test in patients!

Congrats again to all of those who have passed so far:) Waiting patiently here for the same results:) Fingers and toes crossed and praying a lot!

congrats dove for a great accomplishment....i am still waiting for results...our mailman will be here in 5-10 min...fingers crossed ...hoping for best.....

Nothing for me again today :( Oh well hopefully tomorrow will be the day

nothing in mailbox today...may be tommorow....its hard to wait now...evry minute is like year...

I am from BC and nothing yet. The mail man has not made his round, which is pretty late for his usual. he told me yesterday that they are backed up and new mail might not be delivered until Friday. This is torture. I am getting sick and and I am finding this wait the most difficult I have experienced. I am failing to manage this stress.

I hear you Nasrin. It is a very stressful time. I think the hard part is the not knowing. If we knew they had been posted on a certain date and would therefore arrive by a certain day, we could all just sit back and 'get on with things' I find the hardest thing is the fact that with the mail being backlogged as much as a month in so many areas, the waiting game is too unpredictable. It is easy to say, 'well, I will just try to forget about it,' but the reality is that every day when the mail arrival time comes, you cannot help your adrenaline. Then there is another disappointment and trying to find a way to disperse that adrenaline. It is quite an exhausting process.

It may seem that people are becoming obsessed with envelpope size/colouir etc, but I think the reality is that people just need a way of talking about things and relieving stress while we are waiting. As far as I am concearned, I would be happy with the results written on a piece of toilet paper, as long as they arrived.

I for one feel a bit tired of all this 'up and down feeling' every day. It is more frustrating at this stage to know the results in our area are floating around in the cosmos somewhere...I just worry they get lost and stuck in a big backlog pile! Sending everyone lots of good wishes and congratulations to all that have passed so far!!

I failed with just one point only.. I scored 111 and the passing was 112.. How frustrating isn't? But life must go on..and nothing can hinder me to become a registered nurse..I still have two chances.. I am from SK and an IEN..

Sorry to hear that nursemich but good for you on the determination to pass! I hope next time brings better results

Did anyone come out horribly underconfident and pass? I would love to hear a story like that. I studied SO hard. Every book and every practice exam. We're talking Mosby's cover to cover and I felt like I could have failed after I wrote it. I've been a mess waiting for my results. I've had about 8 dreams about failing. One about passing, lol. I've heard that the CNO tells your manager first sometimes. Any thoughts/happy stories?? PLEASE :)

From Ontario.

So bad that we have to feel this way. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you too. I hope you get your results soon and enjoy your summer either way.
