Hello everyone,
I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.
The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.
Just couple of reminders before we get started:
1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.
2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.
3. Please stay on topic.
4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Thank you all.
Are you an IEN? It's definately worth checking into the deadlines!!
yea i'm IEN... I am used to answer CGFNS and NCLEX... I passed with those exams... I find the CRNE different and I haven't reviewed much with few resources. Anyhows, i will try to retake it and at the same time, apply to australia..
Denzo dont do rescoring. Its a waste of money. They already rescore ur exam by person. They all do if ur close to passing.Rescoring will take time and u cant apply for oct exam.Best of luck next time!
Thanks for that advice :) I will try to retake the exam and at the same time, try to apply in Australia. Whether I pass or not, employers here still prefer the Canadian-educated ones. I'm planning to bridge in Australia and get the job easier... that's what my friend in Australia told me and invited me... And there is no 250 hrs and board exam anymore... I'll try to hit two birds with one stone... and is nearer to Philippines...
There are many valuable tips on this site about the CRNE. And calling the CNO or getting upset because you don't have your results is fruitless. They said 6 weeks approximately, and it hasn't been 6 weeks yet. Be patient.
I know it's hard, and I know how you feel....I wrote last year. The waiting is awful. But you can't do anything about it. Congratulations to all who passed :)

True the waiting if awful and more awful when I saw I failed for just 2 pts less... grrrr...
Yes congratulations! I will retake and retake till I pass !!! :) With only a prep guide review, i even managed to score 110 as first time taker... I am still proud of myself...
hi mlc32,
i m still waiting for results ...i heard from my friend who pass she said that it was in white color envelop and 3 papers in it:1 certificate,1 congrats letter and 1 more paper .....dont know about fail i heard that they also got thin only not too thick ...fingers crossed...all the best guys who r still waiting like me... i can understand ur pain and stress.....
Thanks for some clarifications Pavu,
because I read some other threads and they said brown was bad or that a fail comes registered. There are so many rumors and I really scared to see what comes to my mailbox.
It has been very stressful the last weeks, I am having a hard time sleeping, migraines and severe neck stiffness everyday. I can't wait for this to be over with. Congratulations to all of you that passed and to those of you that weren't successful ....don't give up!!! An exam does not measure ones ability to be a good nurse.... Someone once said that greatness isn't measured by strengths but by perseverance. Good luck all!

Hey everyone! And congrats those of you who have received your results! I am from Ontario and we are still waiting. We're thinking tomorrow is the day. I have had an exceptionally difficult 6 weeks anticipating the results. My friends are getting sick of hearing about it. I studied from February to June, did every practice exam known to man! Both readiness exams which I did well on. However I walked out of that exam in tears. I thought it went horribly. I was prepared but I think I choked. I already know of 10 incorrect answers and I'm prepping for tomorrow to be my last shift because I wont be licenced when I get off work. Horrible feeling. I was wondering if any of you felt the same way. Today is my last night of unknown. I have a gut renching feeling that as of tomorrow I will be an upset young lady. Did anyone else go through this and pass? And PLEASE clear up any rumours about the gosh darn envelopes! So many rumors here.. lol. Like fails come in packages and passes come in envlopes. And one is a different colour?! Others say that your manager knows before you do. Any comments from those who have received their results?
