Support group for CRNE June 2011

Published

Hello everyone,

I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.

The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.

Just couple of reminders before we get started:

1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.

2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.

3. Please stay on topic.

4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.

Thank you all.

Oh well.... patience is a virtue.

It certainly is! I'm greatly exercising that now. I hope everything turns out well for you.

Would be nice if they managed to get them out by the 13th, keeping my fingers crossed but I know they're busy so being a realist probably not until after the 13th.

Oh well *sets up camp next to the post box*

i failed ... i only got 110... any advice?

:( I'm sorry Denzo :(

I don't really have any advice specifically, perhaps use a wider variety of books to study from. Was it a time problem? Did you manage to finish the whole exam?

Which province are you in? There is a compendium on the CNO's website which consists of all the legislation relating to nursing in Ontario

BC. Do you think I should ask for rescoring by hand??? Yes, time was the problem. I didn't manage to finish it on time.

It's up to you, how much did you fail by (if you don't mind me asking)

When is the deadline to resit? I think here in Ontario it's the 24th June in which case I personally would probably rather apply to resit rather than waste time on a hand scoring which would probably push me over the deadline so I'd have to wait until Feb to resit

Hasn't it been said on here that if it's a really close call then they are hand scored anyway to double check the accuracy of results before mailing? Or was I imagining that?

I got 110. 112 is the passing rate. The auto-rescoring is by computer still for the borderline scores... not by hand...

In that case it really is up to you. When is the deadline for the October exam? You wouldn't want to miss it if the rescoring by hand comes up with the same result if that makes sense

Very difficult decision though

*hugs*
