Support group for CRNE June 2011

Published

Hello everyone,

I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.

The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.

Just couple of reminders before we get started:

1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.

2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.

3. Please stay on topic.

4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.

Thank you all.

No you cannot write the CRNE anywhere but in Canada. And you cannot write the CRNE without authorization from one or another of the Colleges of Registered Nurses - because you don't apply to write the exam, you apply for registration in Canada, of which writing the exam is a part of the process. All of this has been amply explained. Have you read any of the many threads on the International forum on the topic of coming to Canada to work as a nurse?

PS: Rickyjohn hasn't posted since April. It could be that she's not spending much time here anymore...

Just for clarification you mean by short answer is multiple choices, right? Exam format was changed last last year to only multiple choices.

I didn't see any shot answer questions! I hope I wasn't too nervous to see them……

The exam was harder than I expected and I even didn't finish it. can't imagine what if I fail

I hadn't finished either and really worried as well, some people are saying we should here next week in some places. I also heard last year some people hadn't finished either and still passed, the left out something like 40 or so questions, hope that is us as well :)

oh, thank you for clarification

and I am sorry that I confused you all

Short answer I meant were individual questions beside case study questions:)

And I assure you that all questions were multiple choices

Sorry about that~;)

Next week? Really? Wow! How did you find out? Nerve wracking!

I am so nervous.... you really think we will get our results next week? I keep having nightmares and praying to god that I passed. I would really hate to have to tell anyone that I didn't pass. The suspense is killing me, I am trying to stay positive and keep myself busy but doesn't help. Does anyone know which area most likely receives the results first? I hope you are right and that they do leave out some questions.... keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!

I heard maybe next week from a girl in my class.. so maybe :/ ...very nerve wracking, I wouldn't be as nervous if I got to finish the darn thing :(

i guess results will be mailed next week... goodluck to us all

Results take 5 to 6 weeks. Last year, results started coming in around July 8th. If you wrote June 1st, the results may not be in next week. Just be patient. Stressing over it won't make the results arrive any faster.

Can someone help me.. if you have a temporary license and you fail the first time. Does it get immediately revoked?

I think I read that if you subsequently fail it gets revoked...so if you fail more than once?
