I've been recruited by this company, and it will be my first experience as a traveler. I would appreciate feedback on them, and any other "tricks of the trade" from seasoned travelers. I am a "seasoned nurse", so am familiar with travelers from the staff perspective - and how they sometimes are not so kind, but my philosophy is to " kill them with kindness :)
If the hospital laid off a traveler for low census, if it was me, I would sue for the balance of the contract. I have done this successfully and know one other well known (now former) traveler - TravelTax - who has also successfully sued for the balance of his contract.
Good to know, this was and is my plan if/when it happens... which state were you working in, do you know where he was?

That is how some state boards of labor are: useless. I don't know the technicalities, but you might want to float the question to the labor board in your home state, and the state your agency is located. One of them might put the fear of god into supplemental.
