Hey all! Wanted to start a thread for others who've applied to SUNY Downstate for the accelerated program in Summer 2016. I submitted my application back in August, and am finishing 2 final prerequisites this semester, and am anxiously awaiting a decision!
My application status says, "Application Sent to Committee." Have other folks applied and/or heard back yet? Would love to know if people are starting to get admissions answers, or have a sense of when that might happen.
Hi guys, I got in to sbu and after considering everything in my life right now and the pros and cons, I'll be going there instead. So there will be an opening for someone else!!
Has anyone from the alternate list heard anything back yet? I'm also on the alternate list and reading through the previous year's threads people usually start to hear around this time
I recently got an email asking me to send in my official transcript for one of my schools and my health forms, which I'm currently working on. That's about it though. Last year, I found out 2 weeks before the program started.
Has anyone else gotten in all the health forms? Anyone else have to get their vaccinations updated?
I completed my medical forms on 4/20. The same day I submitted my proof of citizenship and transcripts. A week ago I received an email saying that I still have outstanding docs, which are transcripts and citizenship. I called, they had everything but it wasn't updated. So, I have them check everything and next day I got checkmarks.
I think they just sent the exact same email to everyone. All of my stuff was in as of April 15 and I had the check marks on the list and still received that same email. I'm only waiting on my Hep B titer results because I had to get that vaccine done.
Yep. I received the same email when I sent them my question if they received my transcripts already.
I just didn't get why you're waiting for titres. If you got your first shot just send them date and series. I also didn't have vaccine from HepB and all titres were negative, so I got my shot on 4/18 and sent it to them. Next day when I saw that is incomplete I called and said that my next shot is scheduled for 5/18, I'm committed to get complete vaccination and asked if they can clear me. They did.
I need to update my HepB vaccination as well as my titre was low for that. So, when you filled out the health form, you marked off "neg", correct? And then in the vaccine dates you put the one you just got, and what about in the other two dates? "TBD"? I'm wondering how I should best have my doc fill out the form so I can get it in to SUNY asap. Thanks!
