Two weeks from the date of the letter, but I actually asked for an extension bc I'm still researching private loans and they gave me an extra week.

I'm wondering what everyone is doing financially as well... I'm getting a little something in financial aid and I got the scholarship for ~$3000 as well, but it's nowhere near what I need to cover the expenses of tuition and living expenses (especially if I'm not generating income for the next 15 months. What other options are there? Private loans? Any suggestions?

Hi! I just got notice of acceptance into the Spring 2017 cohort. I was hoping I can trouble you for a little help... do you recall how long after receiving the acceptance notice you were notified about the financial aid package? Also, with the entrance being close to the holidays and lots of parties going on, I wanted to ask about the drug screening and when that happens in the process? Thanks!

Hey Everyone, I'm from Brooklyn, and I got the news that I was accepted today. I applied in early September, before the "early" date. Wishing you all luck and looking forward to a great class. Question for those that have already gone through the program or are going through it... at what point will they be issuing the drug test? (not a druggie, just don't want to be surprised by it when it comes up). Does it happen prior to the first day of class or later on? Also... am I right in reading that this program would start on January 23rd? Thanks!

I finally got my health forms in last week. Regarding the Hep B thing (in case anyone else is still getting the forms together), my doc just put the first date of the new round of shots. The folks at StudentHealth said I have to get my 2nd dose in 1 month and to send documentation. So, I've been cleared. Now... I wait. Has anyone else that's on the waitlist been contacted yet? Any good news to share?

I need to update my HepB vaccination as well as my titre was low for that. So, when you filled out the health form, you marked off "neg", correct? And then in the vaccine dates you put the one you just got, and what about in the other two dates? "TBD"? I'm wondering how I should best have my doc fill out the form so I can get it in to SUNY asap. Thanks!

I recently got an email asking me to send in my official transcript for one of my schools and my health forms, which I'm currently working on. That's about it though. Last year, I found out 2 weeks before the program started. Has anyone else gotten in all the health forms? Anyone else have to get their vaccinations updated?

Hi Lana_K, I also submitted my application on Nov. 26th. I already supplied my unofficial transcripts and my course grid. The only thing the school and I were waiting on was a recommendation letter which finally got submitted on Dec. 22nd. At some point (I don't recall the exact date) my application went to a FacultyScreener6 (I believe) and then to Committee Review. On Feb. 26th, I received the email saying I have been placed on the Alternate List (aka the waiting list). Hope that helps. Good luck and keep us posted on your status.

Hey Everyone. I'm new to the group. Just got an email today saying I'm an alternate, so I'm pretty much hanging in limbo. I applied at the end of November. This is actually my 2nd time applying - got the same response last year and then got a notice that I was accepted two weeks before the session started but had to decline the position due to family emergency. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself here. Question for you guys - I noticed there's a criminal background check. Does anyone know if drug tests are involved too?
