Hey all! Wanted to start a thread for others who've applied to SUNY Downstate for the accelerated program in Summer 2016. I submitted my application back in August, and am finishing 2 final prerequisites this semester, and am anxiously awaiting a decision!
My application status says, "Application Sent to Committee." Have other folks applied and/or heard back yet? Would love to know if people are starting to get admissions answers, or have a sense of when that might happen.
Good luck everyone!
Lyspo, I would assume the earlier you apply the better since they accept applicants as they apply. My status has finally changed to file return to admission after committee review, so it's just a matter of waiting until they upload the decision for me to see ... I'll give it another 2 weeks tops , but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened between today and Wednesday
I used teas prep book and did pretty well, I'd try that
I've been taking my prereqs at CUNY (Hunter and BMCC) so hopefully taking Pathophysiology there. From what I've read, a lot of students try to take it early given the heavy workload in the summer. I spoke with the Dean and said they're fine with it, as long as it's equivalent to the course they offer. Where do you think you'll try to take it?
I was able to pay my deposit BUT the checklist never seems to reflect what it should!
Hey guys! Congrats to you guys that got accepted!!! I'm in the waiting game right now and still haven't hit that "screener" threshhold but i did get an email asking for final transcript and spring registration even though i showed them in a prior email that i was registered for A&P2 already. I applied close to the deadline too so idk how long i have to wait compared to you guys that applied in like august. probably forever!certainly feels that way

congrats @nurseleader31. if stony was your first choice and you got in, i wouldnt bother with the TEAS either. i'm retaking mine next week- anyone have tips on how to score higher on the math portion?
@bktid youre probably right. if its on a "space available basis," people who applied earlier have a better shot getting in, correct? any updates on your status today?
