Hi everyone!! I recently applied for the absn program at SUNY Downstate for fall 2025. I couldn't find any threads for this application cycle, so I decided to start one. I've looked through the previous ones and was able to find some answers, but I figured we should have our own. Good luck!!

I applied on February 28th, was called for an interview on March 13th, had my interview, and got accepted the day after. I've read that it takes longer if you have pending grades though.

Ugh I hope I hear back soon. Does anybody know the order in which the application is reviewed? Does it ever change from program review?

I have two pending grades and it took a little more than a month for a call for an interview. Looking at your grades previously posted, I would say you have a really good shot at getting in; I was accepted with lower stats than you. Mine changed to "Faculty Screener Assigned" and the same day that I noticed this change I received a call for an interview. Stay patient, I'm sure you will get the call soon!

How low were your stats? My overall GPA was bad but it was also a long time ago. My other grades such as science GPA and TEAS are decent.

No problem, and the answer to your question about my stats is generally around the same as yours if not maybe a little lower. I didn't want to post it because Im a tad but insecure about it feels like its kinda low. I'm hoping some of my experience helps with my application. But all the best, hoping its good news for both of us.

My overall GPA is around a 3.5 and most of my prerequisite grades were in the Bs. On my TEAS I got an overall grade of a little higher than 80 I believe- I got an 85 on english, 100 on math and under 70 on science section. I work as a CNA and also have a lot of healthcare related volunteer experience which probably helped my application

Hi! How soon after your interview did you receive your acceptance? Was it via email?

My status still says "File forwarded to Program for Review." I submitted all of the required documents 2/14. Probably not a good sign but fingers crossed.

I submitted two weeks before you and mine still says the same thing fingers crossed
