Hi everyone,

I wanted to take this chance to reach out to anyone that has applied for SUNY Downstate’s FNP program starting the fall of 2019. I know they have started with the interview process and it may have finished as of now. I wanted to know if anyone has received any feedback since their interview. Thanks.

I applied for FNP 2020. I have an interview this upcoming Monday. How was the interview process?

They were polite and receptive. I had to also write a short essay on a topic. Explained my work history. Honestly it was a pleasant interview.

Hi! I have been accepted into the FNP program beginning this fall, and I am wondering how y'all are liking the program, and how intense it is while working full time...I'm particularly interested in how much time the full-time program requires of you each week. Any information would be greatly appreciated, as I am trying to figure out my work schedule for next year. Thank you, and stay safe!

Your time is your decision. Many students work full time and are in this program. Others are part time or per diem workers. It’s difficult but manageable, best of luck!

Hello!

I am applying to the women's health NP Program. Deadline is coming up soon, and I've been trying to get an idea of what the schedule for this program is like. I was told by admissions that classes only meet 1 day per week, though I'm not sure if that applies to all semesters, especially considering clinicals (which I assume there are?)

I currently work full time, M-F, so I'll need to cut back my days/ hours. I just need to know, to what extent.

Separately, anyone currently enrolled in this program enjoying it so far?

Thanks for your help!
