SUNY Downstate ABSN 2023-2024

I've started this thread so those who are applying or applied for the SUNY Downstate ABSN 2023 can talk about the process, acceptance, information etc. I haven't seen anyone talking about this cycle of applications which is making me super nervous so hopefully some of you are out there and want to discuss what's going on.

Thanks for starting this thread! I haven’t applied yet because I’m taking the TEAS in 2 weeks. I know I’m cutting it close ?. I didn’t think they were going to start interviewing already.

Hey I got called for an interview on December 14th. Was honestly shocked cause it was so early in December. When you get the call your interview will most likely be the next day, it's on zoom so no traveling and IDK if they're doing group interviews but my interview was one on one

Hi guys I also got called for an interview back on December 14th. I was pleasantly surprised to hear back so soon. Has anyone started looking for housing?

I will be commuting, I heard they have shuttle buses too

My biggest advice is to be yourself, make sure you can answer questions related to your transcript, personal statement, and anything you put on your application. They read EVERYTHING and the interview is just for them to get to know you better. There's no curveball questions at all and they try to make you as comfortable as possible. Goodluck!
