Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

Hi, I'm looking into applying as well. Have you taken the TEAS yet? I'm not sure how strict they are with the requirements because of the pandemic. I plan to take it soon and hope I get a good enough score.

Hey, 

 

I took the TEAS exam before the pandemic and in the application it seems like they want over 80% on all of the topics they mention (math, reading, science).

Does anyone know if this is rolling admissions or not?

Hi! I attended their virtual open house last week and the dean confirmed that it is in fact rolling admission. I definitely got the feeling that they’d like us to submit our applications sooner rather than later so they can get the interview process started.

Did you asked how many people applied and how many people got in?

If I remember correctly, I believe they said that there are 80 slots and about 200-300 apply.

I asked if the interview process started and I was told no so I don't think anyone got in yet.

Can we take the TEAS after submitting the application?

Yeah you can but they won't review your application until the scores are in

Do the recommendations have to be in before you submit as well?
