SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018

Hi there!
Haven't seen any forums yet on the SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018 class. Has anyone applied?? Or heard from them already?

I will be applying to SUNY Downstate for ABSN for fall 2018 season. Did you apply yet? Did you hear anything from them?

I haven't sent in my application yet . They do ask for the TEAS exam and I'm scheduled to take it during the second week of November so just waiting on that. May I ask why you decided to apply for entry for the fall of 2018 rather than fall 2017?

I am taking my pre-reqs as of right now. I will finish them all of in the spring of 2018.

Hello there! I applied back in August and they started reviewing my application in late September (had to take TEAS). Right now just waiting I guess...There is also another thread started but it was still early in the process so not much going on yet.

I applied in late September. My application has been reviewed, but I just took my TEAS today so my application isn't 100% complete.

@FutureNurseInfo I'm currently taking my pre-reqs at Suffolk. Right now I'm taking chemistry and A&P II and next semester I'm taking Microbiology and Lifespan Development. I haven't sent in my app because I'm taking my TEAS exam November 8th, so I wanted to get the grades for that before sending it in. And @Keb809 how was the Teas?! Can you tell us a bit about it? How did you do on it if you don't mind me asking, and what did you use to study from??

It was actually pretty easy! None of the material is very advanced. It's all stuff Ive learned before, I just needed to brush up on some things. I bought an old practice book for the TEAS V but it didn't seem very different from what I took. I also did all of the free online practice tests that I could find. I think doing practice questions is best just so you can be exposed to as many types of questions as possible.
