SUNY Brockport BSN Second Degree Program - Summer 2017

Published

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to create a thread for those of us who are applying to the accelerated program at SUNY Brockport- cohort 2017.

I am currently working on my application and I am a bit confused regarding the secondary application to the nursing department. Once I know how that works I will be posting in case anyone has the same confusion that I have now.

I wish you the best of luck and you all get into your desired program. Feel free to post and share any insight that might help all of us enhance our chances to get accepted.

Hey! I applied to Brockport's program too and it's my first choice. I think we will find out in December if we are accepted :)

Hey!

I applied for this year, too. I'm pretty nervous about getting in! My undergrad GPA was a 3.5 and my pre-req GPA is a bit higher, maybe like a 3.7 or a 3.8. I've been rereading the old threads from 2015 and 2016 cohort (https://allnurses.com/new-york-nursing/suny-brockport-accelerated-951267.html and https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/suny-brockport-bsn-1014730.html). I have found those really helpful.

I guess we just have to wait until December! And then I can figure out whether or not I can/should work full time and go to Brockport full time...

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey guys , have you heard anything back yet ? I read in last year thread the program director sent emails on December 2nd .

Hello, I also applied for the program. I haven't heard anything back yet.

I haven't heard anything yet either

Okay thanks. I will keep you guys updated.

I also applied and haven't heard anything from the school. I thought I remember hearing that we would find out December 1st. When I check my application it still says "ready for review".

Where did you see that it was "ready for review"?

When I spoke to the program director a month ago she said that I'd find out in mid-December. I've been anxiously checking my email. And then we got that email about there not being a meeting! I saw her name and I thought "is this the email?!?!". Had me on pins and needles until I read the subject line!

Best of luck!

I talked to someone in the office today and they said that they haven't mailed out decision letters yet. They're hoping to mail them out the week of December 12th.

Thank you for sharing!! Looking forward to next week then :)

Mine just changed to "desicion made" today :o
