Tweety I tend to have the same issue.  Although sometimes it's hard to know when you should let things slide

Ado our church also works with a local food pantry

Stars that is some impressive weight loss, and good that it's continued after so many years

Yesterday was fairly busy.  Did some bird watching in the morning,  Then met dad for lunch.  Then went to visit some gardens with a friend of mine.  Was nice but took longer than expected, the gardens were hosting a concert, a graduation, and a prom so long delays getting in due to the crowds.

Today have the zoo trip with the over 50 group, so I will skip church so I have more time to get ready for that.  I should have some time early this morning to do a little bird watching before I have to get ready for that.  Will likely do the cooking when we get home from the zoo.

Have started to get back into knitting again, find that I like keeping busy.  I remember the basics but my technique is not great.  Currently I'm just doing short bits of knitting to practice and see where I need to improve

Going to be a bit cooler today, in the low 60s

G'day!

Joe, hope you have a good time at the zoo.

I'm feeling a bit washed up after getting up to leave at 3:30AM yesterday but not too bad.  Went to hot yoga and to a couple of stores for food.  Will need to meal prep tomorrow.

I got a coworker to switch my Thursday for her Tuesday so I can be home when the refrigerator repair guy is here.  Best friend will be out of town visiting his sister.  I am practices being assertive if the refrigerator is fixed after their two screw ups.

Going out for Italian food tonight for my birthday (which is tomorrow but I'll be busy).

Happy birthday, Tweety, or as my high-school-locker-mate used to call it "Happy Hatchmark!" Since your screen name is Tweety, it would follow that you were hatched and the day is marked as yours! 😁

So far today is quiet and so far, so is Nannie. She isn't napping and didn't nap yesterday, either. Fortunately both she and Momo missed seeing the gorgeous calico cat that sauntered by our back door. No barking from the dog, and no curled lip from Nannie when referring to a cat.

I spoke too soon! Now Nannie is talking about :"those people out there" and how "what they did is very uneven"......."but, I have this"> (shows me how she can fold her hands into the hem of her jersey) "and the green stuff stops at the cement."  Oh, Okay then! That is an accurate rendition of how she talks and how subject matters are fluid, flowing one into the next, and the next, as if ....as if....well, as if anything she might say makes sense!

I need to nosh on something, I feel a hunger hole in my belly.

Tawk whichyou'n's laydah!

Hi. The weather has morphed from rain, to overcast and gusty and now sunny. I got a good bike ride in today, about 15 miles. I had to stop and take a break about 1/2 way, because my hands go to sleep. I was out amidst the farms, and was serenaded by doves, some sparrows and a rooster. Some fields are green with timothy grass, which will be cut for hay, others not yet plowed or planted as they still have standing water. I presume they will soon be growing corn or potatoes. And my route takes me by some blueberries, that are bright green with white blossoms. I finally finished a book I've been picking up and putting down, called The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. It's about racial and religious  friction in a small Pennsylvania town in the 30s.

Happy Birthday Tweety! Joe, I hope your trip to the zoo was pleasant. My favorite exhibit is the flamingos. I just read an article about how they create vortices with their beaks when they feed.

nursej22, my hands go to sleep when I ride a bike, within the first 5 min.  It's very uncomfortable.  Probably 25-30 years ago I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel in the right hand -- I guess that is the cause of the symptoms.  I suppose I could get a recumbent bicycle, if I was inclined to use bicycling for exercise.  I prefer walking and using weights, so it's not a decision I need to make right now.   Your serenade during your bicycling break sounded pleasant!

Happy Birthday, Tweety!  Glad you are back safely from No. Carolina, and that you had a good visit.

Joe, I hope the zoo trip was a good one!

Hello No Stars and Ado!

We had a good band practice today, and it should help firm up the set list so we can then practice on getting the little details for each song secured.  It's always nice when we start and end together, and when we are "together," kwim?  😉 We practiced out on fiddler's front lawn, and the weather was very nice.  BUT I am TIRED now!!  I am ready to eat, we will have soup from out of the freezer.  Need dh to feed the cats, and then WE will eat (hint, hint!).

Have a good evening!

J22, I read The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. I remember it being a somewhat odd story but worth reading.

Our church book club selection was juvenile fiction (is that what they call it still?). Ferris, by Kate DiCamillo, who wrote Because of Winn-Dixie.  It was charming and fun and joyful. It is a nominee for the Sequoyah Book Award this year (awarded by the Oklahoma Library Association).

dianah, it sounds quite enjoyable to sit outside and make music together. We didn't go to the concert in the park tonight because the weather seemed iffy.
