Ado, no need to be embarrassed, at one of my previous apartments we had  issues with bedbugs and had to have the exterminator there several times

Stars that seems fair, given all that you do for them.  Hopefully what you said will get through to him

Tweety that is a mess, it's good that you decided to take a day for yourself.

Yesterday was better as the day went on. Skipped birdwatching because it was too hot and I was too tired.  Did a few things to get ready for the trip then had lunch with dad.  After lunch I felt better.  Ran and errand or two and exercised, which also made me feel better.  Skipped the Svengoolie movie and watch Revenge of the Pink Panther,  which was OK

Overall slept better last night.  Did wake up after about 2 hours, decided to do like Tweety does and take half a klonopin just to be sure.  Slept pretty well, woke up 2 or 3 times but went right back to sleep.  Will try valerian root if I have further difficulty getting to sleep, don't want to lean on the very limited supply of klonopin

Feel better this morning, made sure to get up at my usual time to make sure my body clock is set right.  Will finish up what little packing I have left, go to church, text the cat sitter, and then will drive down in the afternoon.  One big advantage of this location is that it's less than an hour and a half away

For this reunion I'll make sure to have some time alone in addition to the time spent with family,  which I've found  can get overhwhelming. Planning to return in the early afternoon on Tuesday.

Will be in the mid 80s today but rain should hold off

Safe travels, Joe. Good that you are planning some battery-recharge time. Hope you can make that happen.

Yes, safe travels, Joe.

I agree, Annie, about bedbugs—nothing to be embarrassed about. From talking to my former public health colleagues, they are super sneaky.
NoStars, there is nothing wrong with being compensated for your time and labor. And stress. I can't shake the notion that a man who drinks heavily thinks you don't deserve an appliance that you all benefit from. Or that somehow hearing aids are some sort of magnanimous gift.
I had fun with grandkids yesterday. We played mini golf and then got ice cream. Dh cooked hot dogs, hamburgers and corn on the cob. At 9 pm sis called because her leg was increasingly painful and swollen. Then she called 911 to take her to hospital. I went and sat with her. 4 hours later they sent her home, all tests negative, except H&H slightly down. They were going to send a pain RX to her pharmacist, but of course, they never got it.

So I've been ripping out weeds to release some tension.

Hello all!

Safe travels, Joe, and enjoy the reunion!  Good for you to think of balancing alone time (= re-charge time) with crowd time ( = energy-consuming time) --- this is all in my opinion, of course!

nursej22, good that your sis doesn't have a DVT.  However, it's sad the pain med prescription was never sent (in this day and age, with phones and faxing and what-all, it seems apparently someone forgot).  I don't blame you for being ticked off and making the weeds suffer (LOL).

Well, we are HOME.  After two weeks and two days away from home.  We had a great time traveling on one of our favorite highways-and-byways (Hwy 395), and really enjoyed the bluegrass festival, and jamming with friends and making new friends.

I did go to a few of the band shows, one of which was Rhonda Vincent and the Rage.  EXCELLENT entertainment!  She and her band are so talented, and present a great show.  My friend P and I attended a workshop she and the band gave, on Elements of a Band, and it was cool to hear what they had to say about forming and maintaining a band (especially on the road).

Weather was great: in the 70's - low 80's during the day, no rain.

Our cats are glad we are back, they have been circling round and asking for patting and attention.  Little Abita (gray tabby) is waiting for me to sit on the bed to watch TV at night, so she can settle on my legs.  The RV is all unpacked, but my duffle is not unpacked yet.  After I helped unload the RV, I started a wash with the linens, and then saw the bushes needed trimming, so spent an hour doing that.  Then once I was in the house, the toilet needed cleaning, so I did that.  I will unpack later, am enjoying a break with refreshing water to drink, and AN to keep me occupied. ?

That's it for now!  Have a good evening!

Good afternoon!

Have a good trip Joe.

I had a nice long nap this morning after waking up at 4AM.  Quite happy to be taking a mental health day.   I went to the street fair which is the 2nd big event for Pride.  Lots of people.  Didn't see our work booth but there were so many booths and people it would have been easy to miss.  Treated best friend to lunch for his upcoming birthday.  Tried a new Indian restaurant that also had a booth but we were able to snag a table indoors with air conditioning.

The above was a post I made hours ago but I guess didn't hit submit.

Going to pride revived my spirits.  I'm tired of working angry and depressed and overall my mood about things in general has been down.  Seeing such widespread love and support restored a bit of faith in humanity.  Let's face it, living in Florida these days it's easy to lose a little bit of faith.

Welcome back Dianah!

J22, it could be a hematoma causing swelling and pain.  I would keep an eye out for bruising and she should follow up her H&H with her primary if it keeps up.  Hope she gets some pain medication.
