Good morning!

BC, does sound like a good day to stay in.

Joe, sorry the antibiotics aren't agreeing with J and hope you had a good visit with your father.

J22, hope the acupuncture helps.  I got acupuncture for neck and shoulder pain about five years ago.  Not sure if it helped because I was also on ibuprofen, physical therapy and massage, but the combo helped.

Hi Amo!

Working again today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Tweety

NJ22 hope the acupuncture helps

Amo glad you made it

Busy morning yesterday, did a crock pot recipe and tried a new recipe for home made amaretto.  Cleaned and ran errands too.  Afternoon was quieter, had lunch with dad and exercised and watched Svengoolie.

Today have to get to church early to practice the solo.  Then will have lunch with J if he's feeling OK, yesterday he was feeling like he was coming down with something upper respiratory.  This evening we have a meeting of the capital campaign committee.  Will try to get a walk in if it's not too cold.

Going to get up into the 30s today, no more snow expected for the next week or so

Good Afternoon~

I spent the entire day in bed yesterday; I was in a real funk. Hubby harassed me a little, like, "Do I have to take you to the hospital?" (----no----.) I slept almost the whole day! I was just mentally and emotionally worn out. I got up at 7 PM and watched some TV with hubby and Nannie. I went back to bed a little before 10 PM; read for an hour, and lights out at 11 PM. Believe it or not I had no trouble sleeping last night. I got up at 4 PM and had some toast and coffee (I didn't eat anything at all yesterday.) then back to sleep until, oh, I dunno, sometime between 10 and 11 AM.

Went out to the grocery store around noon, to stock up on a few items. Now I am in my indented seat on the sofa (5 years of sitting on the same spot will do that to a sofa.) and doodling here on the laptop. Nannie and Ozzie are sound asleep. Hubby has gone out to search for a shooting range someone told him about. I have half a mind to go lay down again, but might as well stay up, because in an hour hubby will be asking where we want him to go pick up supper. I'm not hungry, but I suppose I will have to chose something. Or not. I have some Panera's cheese and broccoli soup. I have some rye bread and slices of roast beef from the deli. I don't know, don't much care, either.

When I was bringing stuff in when I got back from the store, I stubbed my toe at the front door and did a tremendous fall into the foyer; threw the grocery bags down and skidded in on my right knee and right hand and elbow. Had on several layers of clothes due to the cold weather, so I didn't do anything but get small abrasions on my right elbow and right knee. Was so thankful not to have landed on my left knee. The left knee has been behaving pretty well for the last couple of days and I would've hated to land on it! The right hand's first two lower knuckles are swollen (normally, from good ol' Arthur Itis) but from the rough landing, they are aching and slightly more swollen. Thankfully some Lidocaine roll-on and my "imak" compression glove are helping it feel better.

I am sooooo over cold weather! I guess if I was up North I'd be complaining about the snow and ice. Believe it or not, the most recent big storm traveling across the nation went right around us, both North and Southward so we had a very small bit of precipitation that didn't last long. We did have a lot of cold wind, but as I was snug as a bug in a rug, I slept through it! Even though the thermostat is set on 69 and the portable room-heater is on in the den, it is still feeling chilly to me. This house has the weirdest set-up of heat vents; I guess it being a three-level home AND the fact that the house is heated by a heat-pump, there is no area of even warmth. And when the ceiling-vent in the den lets out with the supposedly warm air, it blows cold right down on me.

Funny: Nannie is having a silent conversation in her sleep. You can see her lips moving, and her head was shaking 'no'. Her 'silence IS golden' to me!  ?

Guess that's it for now. Hoping my funk will fade away soon. It is so boring to be bored, when there is nowhere to go and nothing to do and no money to do it with. I know I need a vacation!!

Hi @Tweety, @Joe NightingMale and @No Stars In My Eyes.

Hope work is going/went, well, Tweety.

Joe, hope J felt well enough to have lunch.

NSIME, I'm sorry you have been feeling crummy. And, the fall ... I'm sure that was scary. (I have an extreme fear of falling). You take care.

Church today - everything went well. I didn't tackle anything new for the Pipe Organ.

I've not been able to get out to the grocery store since the ice storm this past Thursday. Finally did so early this a.m. before Church. The drive was a little slippery, but I navigated o.k.

It was difficult finding things. The store was out of eggs, ground beef, chicken, bread ... and a few other necessary items. I got what I could. Made it to Church and afterward, went to Walmart to get what I needed. They, too, were out of things but was able to get enough of what I needed to plan meals for the week.

Watching Olympics and chilling now. We go to bed early and I'm trying to will the clock to move forward a little faster.

Hope you all have a good rest of the day and a good week to come.

Good afternoon.
it’s sunny and warm-ish here in the 50s. I rode my bike to the diner this morning and my face was frozen when I got there. I’m washing bedding, rea the paper online and did the crossword puzzle. I just came in from pruning the apple tree. It’s half done but my arms are tired and it was past lunch time. The Olympics are on, and I’m sorta half watching them.
Stars, I hope you are not too sore tomorrow after your fall. I hate when my family expects me to choose dinner. I’m fine with popcorn.

Stay warm ya’ll.

Hey @nursej22?

You sound like you were quite industrious today. Shove some of that my way, will ya?

Watching the Olympics. During the men's single luge runs -- My GOSH, I was so tense while they were hurtling down the run! I was clenching my hands, leaning to one side or the other ....I guess I was 'helping' on the corners. I just knew someone would end up in a mangled heap, but amazingly enough, no one did.

Think I'll go upstairs during a commercial and take my meds a little early, so as to fend off some of the aches and strains slowly appearing 'after the fall'. Was Brad Pitt in a movie titled 'After the Fall'? Naw, I don't think so; at least I can tell you he isn't HERE!

Now the down-hill skiers are making my knees and hips ache as they bump down the dips and angles. OY!

Legends of The Fall, I think. I didn’t care for it, but Brad was very pretty way back when.
