Joe~ Warmer, in the mid-30's? YIKES! I was looking at our weather report, and was just thrilled that our high 'warm' temp today will be 41 degrees. {And before Nannie ever gets up and asks, .....NO, we are not going ~a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e~ today!}
I slept rotten last night. It took me forever to fall asleep, and then Momo was restless and would bark, whereupon I would go peek down into the den to see if Nannie was up....but she wasn't. I might have logged possibly four hours worth of sleep altogether, and as my nephew used to say, (at age 3), "I sorta have a heady-ache." If I had no responsibilities, I could take a nap (but I am not much of a napper) or just laze in bed, reading.
Finally got up and made a cup of coffee. and climbed back into bed, to sit up and doodle (not Google) around on-line. Took my AM meds, and am contemplating the day. I guess I could get up, wash my face, and get dressed..... That's about as far as I have 'contemplated'. I mighty-well get started, though. Ugh.
Hard to believe it is almost Christmas. But as it is the 22nd, it's also hard to believe that in exactly 6 months time I will have been on this Earth for 76 years. 🙃 And 8 of those years I've been here in Nannie-Land. 😲 Jeepers!
Rainy and cool here.
We are supposed to have multiple rain systems come in over the next week, so no white Christmas. I cut my bike ride to and from breakfast short, because of the wind from the north froze my face.
We are leaving shortly to go see Wicked at the movie theatre. We were going with dd and her youngest, but apparently her sewer line is backed up and she may need to stay there with the plumber. Ugh.
The dogs are back to their bad habits. They chewed the electrical cord to dh's laptop, and I caught them chewing on the corner of the baseboard in our bedroom. grrrr. They have tons of toys and antlers and things to chew on.
We don't seem to have many birds around here, except for gulls. They sometimes move inland when the weather gets nasty.
I had visions of shopping tomorrow, but I made need to take my car in for an estimate. It looks like I may need to just give gift certificates. But they are easier to wrap.
Somebody sure is busy around here.
Stars, it is crazy how time flies isn't it?
I've had a low key day. Went to yoga. Woke up at 6AM to my CD player/radio alarming. Somehow I set the alarm in the living room player. I didn't even know it had an alarm. But stayed up since.
Went to the store and doing some cooking. It's in the upper 50's but the trend the next few days will be that it warms up to the 70's.
Rose, don't change your screen name to 'somebody'! First of all, I have had ONE dead faint only once in my life and it was sooooo WEIRD! So, if you don't mind, I'd rather not do that again. Having TWO 'somebody's' here would be confusing even if the other 'somebody' never actually posts! But there is a way to 'solve' who is who....
A friend and I were driving around up in Asheville and Weaverville.....There was a church sign which basically said to come to their church "Where Everybody is Somebody." And my friend read the sign and then said, "Everybody is somebody, unless they're Somebody Else." So, Rose, if you want to claim the screen name "somebody else", go right ahead. Whaddya think?!
Tweety~ Pretty strange how you can set an alarm clock in the living room where you didn't even know there was one. No, come to think of it, it is VERY strange! Do you sleepwalk?
j22~ You cut your bike-ride short because your face was freezing? Cripes! I wouldn't have even bothered to TRY to ride my bike (which I don't have) in the cold-COLD weather! My late father-in-law would kindly call you a 'sissy' for that. He used to refer to me as his "little Yankee sissy". I was honored, because it was a compliment.
Time to put Nannie to bed.
See yez'all tomorry!

Tweety that's good that you're reviewing how you respond to stressful events
TMB thanks for the pictures
NJ22 I find that Christmas can be a low time for me too, somehow the other holidays seem more upbeat
Stars that's good that you have a variety of ways to address the tension
Dianah the Arboretum was good, cold but sunny, though I didn't stay out too long
Didn't see any birds at the Arboretum, not surprising given how cold it was. Had lunch with dad as usual. Then went to the dinner for the over 50 group. Was only 3 of us but I think it was pretty good nonetheless. Left a bit early to stop at a store in a nearby mall, but the parking was so crazy I gave up. Will wait until after Christmas before doing much in the way of shopping
Today will be at church early to usher. After church going downtown with my friend B to have lunch and check out the Christmas Market, if it's not too crowded. Will do the cooking and if possible the laundry too prior to church, given that the rest to of the day will be busy. Scheduling stuff gets tricky with Christmas coming so soon, and on a weekday
Going to be a bit warmer today, in the mid 30s
