Tweety does sound like that doctor overreacted.  You're right, moving on is best, though admittedly I tend not to be good about that

Stars thankfully I don't think I've ever had the Jehovah's Witnesses show up at my door

Hi Ado

Dianah glad she's back to normal

NJ22 hopefully he will calm down

Yesterday was OK.  Went to the Arboretum, got my free cup of coffee for members, but saw very few birds.  Ran some errands, then had lunch with dad.  Was supposed to have dinner with the over 50 group, but the place that was chosen had an hour and half wait and did not accept reservations.  The organizer wanted us to eat outside in 90 degree heat since those were the only table available.  I said no thanks

Think I'm going to mostly wind things down with the over 50 group.  Find I don't really like organizing events, and people attend too sporadically for any sort of community or connection to form.  Might stay with the group to reach out to people one on one, I've had much better luck with meeting people that way

Today have church, thankfully nothing to do this Sunday.  Supposed to meet up for lunch with someone I met on a friend app, but he's currently in the process of moving and may have to cancel, so we'll see.  Will also do the cooking for the week later today

Going to be a bit cooler today, low 90s, no rain expected

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.

Billy was one to really get into food and I had to keep the pantry closed but he also apparently was able to jump on the counters.  You may remember he got some chocolate off my counter and Slow Bro and he were munching on it.  It was 85% cocoa so the vet advised I get them to the ER.  Slow Bro in particular they said had symptoms of tachycardia.  But they wound up being fine.  Sheesh.

I didn't know about the 8 hour exposure rule for TB and that makes me feel better.    For the record the patient was in a negative pressure room which is why is was a big stink when I inadvertently let him out and when I saw it was him just let him go.  It's an old trait of my mine to not speak up when I need to that has not served me well in my life, but one I also thought I'd overcome mostly.

He's had negative AFB cultures, and other tests, but does have suspicious enough of chest X-rays and a mass and we're awaiting further testing.  It's even documented by the ID doc she doesn't think it's TB and he can maybe come out of isolation.  Guess the pulmonologist that tattled on me has another opinion.

Anyway, I do need to move on.

I did send a note via the portal to my doctor that I'm still having symptoms as she mentioned another round of antibiotics, but this will be my last round before seeing a GI specialist.  I can't keep taking antibiotics.  I asked for a note to excuse me from jury duty but I already emailed the Jury Duty place but I might need more documentation from her.  She will get my message tomorrow.

I slept too late to go to my yoga class which is a bummer.   So I'll go the gym which is better because I can use their bathroom whenever the need arises.  LOL

After I read on-line about dogs and chocolate, I held my breath. It scared me for her. I would not react well if I had inadvertently poisoned Tinker ! She is small at 9 pounds and I don't really know exactly how many little Reese's cups she ate, so I was on the look out for the s/s that I should watch for.

She woke me up at 8 AM, barking up a storm and I don't know why. I don't think Nannie was up, at least when I went downstairs there was no movement audible from just outside her room. Checked the doors and the driveway and saw nuthin'. Got her calmed down and she went to sleep in the crook of my elbow, so I could finally sleep.

Took my pills and took Tinker out around 10:30 AM, fed her breakfast. At least she knows to pee outside now. Every time she does I praise her to the hills making sure to repeat the words, "GOOD girl to PEE-PEE OUTSIIDE! GOOD DOG to do her business."  Maybe one of these days that business will automatically include her doing a BM. I want to see if she ingested some of the pieces of aluminum foil that wraps the little Reese's cups; if she has 'sparkles' in her poop, I'll know for sure. But fortunately, so far, no vomiting, diarrhea, trembling or hyperactivity. Maybe she is in the clear now even tho she hasn't gone through the 48 hour possibility of s/s showing up. I remain hopeful she hasn't been harmed by eating what she ate.

I am still tired, so I may get another cup of coffee to boost my brain into being awake all the way.

Have heard nothing from the iL's. Kind of expected BiL to come over to mow the lawn, but it's not too late for that. I don't much care one way or the other about the lawn We have no HOA breathing down our necks, so that's good. The big white, plate-size mushrooms are still there on the back lawn but are starting to turn brown and are wilting a little at a time. Now there are fresh, smaller, white, oval, round-topped mushrooms growing on the 2 large piles of woodchips, and one of the piles has some violently orange small mushrooms growing at the very top of it. Never have seen those of that color before! I am thinking of seeing what it might cost for someone to remove those piles of wood chips; they are that are ugly . It'll take a lot of shoveling and will fill more than a few LARGE trailers to haul it off. On the other hand, they aren't hurting anything (yet). I do wonder about the possibility of them bursting into flame at some point, but maybe all the rain we've been getting in the afternoons is enough to tamp down the chance of that happening. Anyway, maybe one of the neighbors would like to earn a little $$$ to help me out? The piles sit right at the lower back edge of the mowed yard, right beside the woods, and I don't like wondering if they might start burning and then get into the woods. A little Sunday Morning Paranoia going on here,

It is quite pleasant outside, not too hot, not too humid, and there is a nice, gentle, cool breeze. But, no, Nannie, you are not going out today, Tomorrow it'll be back to the seniors daycare (thank goodness!) Hoping SiL will come over in the AM to shower, dress her and take her away! With my luck lately, she will have to go in at 5:30 AM again and that means I will have to do the Nannie Routine. Not sure if BiL would be available to tote her over to the Center. I guess it does not matter what *I* might have planned, so I have planned on nothing so far.

Nannie is already tipping over to her right side with her head hanging down. I'll go stick the baby pillow under her neck and lower the back of the recliner so she isn't being propelled off the right arm of the chair. Makes her neck hurt, ya know. ( "D'oH!" as Homer Simpson might say.)

SEVEN AND A HALF OR EIGHT HOURS 'TIL NANNIE GOES TO BED!

We have arrived at our campsite. We will spend a night here, then go to Oregon for the next 7 days. I was a little frustrated this morning. Dh, as he always does, asks me what time I wanted to leave. I always say early, like 8, and we never do. I changed my request to leave before noon, and he thought I was being sarcastic. Well, we left at 1145. He couldn't find his phone. After calling it multiple times, someone answered. Dh must have left it on the edge of the pickup because it was found on the street about 1/2 mile away.

It is currently 90 degrees , 44% humidity. I don't know if I will cook dinner, or we may just have sandwiches.

Safe travels, nursej22.  I hope the weather is nice and it's a good get-away.

Hello all!

I had trouble getting to sleep, so read a kindle book.  I don't know if it helps to just try to sleep, or to play some sort of mindless solitaire game, or to read.  Last night I chose to read.  I have done some cleaning of one corner, and did my exercises.  Three days last week, I had pain in the right shoulder, down through the arm, and the trapezius area.  So, I held off exercising and babied myself.  Have had this before, it lasts around three days, then improves.  It is much better today (and yesterday), so I decided to exercise (though not with heavy weights).

LuLu is doing so much better!  She is no longer staying in the front room, she is coming out, wanting to be petted, meowing like she used to.  Eating, drinking, peeing, pooping.  And the other cats have started to accept her without much hissing; she is cuddled next to her mama right now.  As you can tell, we are SO VERY RELIEVED that she is doing better.

We have band practice tomorrow afternoon.  Not much else going on here, it's just hot.

Have a good evening!

My sister's dog ate chocolate Easter bunnies one year... or was it chocolate Santas?  The vet said that since it was milk chocolate it should be OK -- not enough chocolate to make her sick.

Hubs didn't wake me and I slept too late for church. Most of my laundry is done and the grocery shopping is done. We made pizzas from a kit.

Stars I wouldn't worry about it at this point.  Candy like that is in actual low in cocoa and she'll be fine.

Safe travels J22.

Glad Lulu is doing better!

I actually had a decent day GI wise   Couldn't be after over three weeks I'm on the mend?
