Sunny, 76% humidity, no rain predicted; High will be in the low-ish 90's with a 'feels like' of 102 degrees. Whoooooop-dee-dooooo! Summer. Ppfftt!
I have GOT to fill my mediset EVERY WEEK, or it will again be like this morning-----did I take my AM meds earlier before I went back to bed? I dunno. My knees ache, but that has been par for the course lately. Geeze, Stars! Get with the program!
I have to take Tinker out on her leash now so she can drag me around, and then I will come back inside to get the Nannie-person up and dressed, etc. Whooooooop-dee-doooo!! I know that all this 'good cheer' and 'happiness' is hard for some people to take if they are not fully awake yet.....me included.
Will be back by here later, I'm sure.
61 degrees here on the beach, intermittent sun breaks. We leave tomorrow. Yesterday we drove to an outlet mall for a little shopping. I got some shoes, a sun hat and some yoga pants. We stopped at a pet friendly cafe. Food was so-so, but the waiter forgot us and we waited forever for the check. Dh decided he would not go ask for it, so I just took the dogs and strolled around the parking lot. When we got back to camp I walked to the beach, which is where I am again this morning.
More gorgeous photos, j22! I am slightly JEALOUS!
Got a text this AM answering my post in the on-line Nextdoor/Neighborhood site, about a part-time job sitting with Nannie, since Chatty CG can't be counted on. I sent the name and phone number to SiL for her to call and check the person out and give her the upshot of the lowdown. Or vice versa. I said either Tuesday or Thursday afternoon would be fine.
I also sent a text to BiL about two large, LEANING trees in the back yard, one on each side of the shed. I don't think it is exactly URGENT, but they do bear watching. One of them looks eager to let go of its roots if there is another spell of wet and windy weather. But I think the one closer to the house is the one that should come down first. However, the other one on the other side of the shed looks like it has INTENT the next time it is exposed to some vigorous weather. Toss a coin and call 'heads' or 'tails'! The guys that did the tree we had taken down before hubby died, did an EXCELLENT job of cleaning up after themselves, too. However we also do have two LARGE piles of woodchips, where hubby told the other tree guys to put them, so he didn't have to pay to have them taken away, and *I* think they need to be shoveled up into MORE than several hauling trailers (!) and carted off somewhere. It would take a good while to get it all taken care of, and of course, $$$. But, it is Nannie's $$$ not mine. 🤑< that emoji is called "Money Mouth" 😲Cough it up, Nannie!
Both Nannie and Tinker are napping.😴 and *I* AM LOVING IT! 😁
Gorgeous beach photos, J22! Sounds very pleasant. Like Stars, we are in the low 90s with a feels-like of 100 or so. Hubs is worried that it will rain before he finishes painting the boat. He thought he had a 10-day window of no rain expected but now it looks as if storms are likely Tues eve through Wed. He has been working in the mornings until about 10 when it becomes uncomfortably hot. Then usually in the evenings for an hour or two.
Nice beach pics!!
Short staffed as people were out at "the springs" celebrating a coworkers birthday. I had a 6:1 assignment. Did nothing remotely related to being in charge but worked on a transfer and the assignment for nights. A patient had the nerve to drop her blood pressure shift change. Drama. LOL
Hope everyone has a nice evening.
No Stars In My Eyes said:By the way, does it matter that there are mushrooms growing on top of the piles> just curious.
Not harmful. Mushrooms in mulch are common and usually indicate healthy soil, as they thrive on decaying organic material breaking it down into helpful nutrients.

Stars that was nice of her to send those gifts
Hi NRSKaren
Tweety hope the next shift is calmer
Ado sounds like a fun day
Did some bird watching yesterday but saw few birds. Had lunch with my dad, then met my friend N to visit a military museum. Had not been there in many years, was interesting and well done. Spend some time talking afterwards, then headed home just ahead of the rain.
Woken up once or twice in the early morning by thunderstorms
Today have church and cooking for the week. Will meet new friend K at a local restaurant for brunch. Since the weather seems reasonable the rest of the day will probably ride my bike, which I haven't done much of this Summer
Will be a cooler day, low 80s, rain ending this morning
