Summer 2018- UT Health Science center pacesetter BSN program

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am preparing myself to apply for Summer 2018 pacesetter BSN program. We can use this forum for Summer 2018 applicants. I am in the process of taking Hesi exam. I have completed all my prerequisite courses needed for the program.

Little bit about me:

BS in Microbiology in 2005 -GPA (3.05)

MPH degree in Epidemiology in 2012-GPA (3.85)

Associate degree of Science in 2017-GPA (4.0)

Hesi test-will be taking it in August

Working full time with City Health department as an epidemiologist specialist since last five years. I am also a mom of two boys.

Got accepted to MUSC college of nursing program but declined it. Also got accepted to Johns Hopkins Entry into Masters of nursing program for Fall 2017 but had to deffer it to Fall 2018 due to financial circumstances.

Trying to apply for the in-state school due to affordable tuition as well as easy commute.

I really hope i can get into UT Health Science center pacesetter program as it's my first option as it's closest to me as well as it's affordable and one of the best programs in Texas.

Congratulations everyone!!! I've been following this thread and it's been a blessing. I'm glad to see so many of you were accepted and can't wait to meet you all in person. As for those who have not yet been accepted, I believe in you!

Do rejections come via mail or through the portal?

Rejections will come late I think

So proud of all of you that got in! I have been following this just for the fun of it, but I am an applicant for this coming Fall... when do yall think I will hear back? The wait is killing me.

Do rejections come via mail or through the portal?

From past forums it stated they came through the portal. I checked last summers forum and some people were accepted on two different days, so maybe more acceptances will go out Monday. Or maybe I'm just trying to hold on to hope! I haven't received anything!

I feel like based off of previous cohorts, there must be more acceptances to come, just my speculation. As far as denials, I was denied for Spring 2018 and received notice about two weeks after decisions went out via the portal, a few weeks later I got a letter of denial.

I got a denied email first and then they sent a letter in the mail. It's usually a while after people have been accepted and waitlisted. Usually one of the last ones to know

Still hoping Monday they will send out more acceptances! I have to stay positive! Congrats to everyone who was accepted!!! í ½í¸†

I recently got accepted to the Summer 2018 program but I am really worried about summer financial aid. I was thinking of reapplying for the Fall 2018 semester but worried that they won't accept me because I declined for summer. I think I may accept it though, and just take out loans.
