Summer 2023 University of South Alabama MSN

Published

Hi! Anyone else impatiently waiting to hear from South Alabama about Summer acceptance?

All applications submitted but the email says 8 weeks after the deadline to hear anything? That sounds like a long time... do you "hear" something via email prior to getting snail mail?

Mine actually says 4-6 weeks following the application deadline 2/1.

It took 8 weeks from the early admission date to get an acceptance email. Then I recommend my office acceptance letter in the mail the following week from the university.

The email was from the nursing department.

That's awesome! Waiting 8 weeks was long.  When I applied it said 8 weeks. Maybe they change it for specialty ??‍♀️ or for when you are applying. IDK. I got my email of acceptance exactly when it said I would when I applied.

It just sounds like the dates don't add up. It says at least 8 weeks after the April 14th deadline.. but classes start 5/31?

Yea for sure it does. You have to attend a virtual orientation in April and registration for classes opens in April too.

Just got my acceptance letter via email! Yayyyy

Congrats! I'm about to submit to the PMHNP program. Do you know when the start date is for the Summer program? I have tried emailing and getting in contact with faculty via phone, yet I haven't received a call back. Were you able to attach letters of recommendation to your profile? I was searching for a dropbox and only seen an option for the resume and personal statement.

I also got my acceptance on Friday! They said they do not send anything via mail for 8 more weeks.

Were you able to upload letters of recommendation to your profile? Also, how long was your personal statement. I saw two different locations where it mentioned 500 max and then another up to 750 words.

The school does not require letters of recommendations (surprisingly) so I did not upload any. My personal statement was 500 words!

What 2/1 deadline did you see? I applied before the priority deadline and haven't heard anything but the girl I talked to made it sound like they somehow lost my application. She said they have a couple of weeks after the 2/1 deadline but I hadn't seen anything about Feb on their website so I wasn't sure what she was referring to.

It was on the email I got on 1/3. "Decision letters are sent to all applicants about 4-6 weeks following the application deadline February 1st.” Next week will be the wk 4, so I'm hoping to hear by next Friday.

I applied to FNP/ENP dual but it's BSN-DNP so I wonder if that also makes a difference?

Just got my acceptance email!

When did you apply? Congrats!
