Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone has applied, waiting, or has been accepted to Phillips School of Nursing Mount Sinai Beth Israel for the Summer 2019 semester. I saw other nursing pages for 2017 and 2018 but no ongoing active one for the 2019 semester. Just wanted to connect with some more people on this site regarding the program.

I found out this week that I was accepted. I realized what I said earlier was wrong, I got a B in Ethics, I forgot it was a prereq because I took it in college.

Hi! I just submitted my application last week! I was wondering how the interview went for those got an invite to interview and was accepted by the program? Any questions that you remember being ask? What was the interview format?

I was notified that I have been accepted via email. I didn't have an interview. Best of luck!

Do you mind me asking which prerequisites are in progress? One of mine will be A & P II when I apply, not sure if that has a big effect.

I emailed Maria Gallo to confirm the deadline change, but haven't heard back. Do you think they really changed it to Feb. 1st?

If so, then I'll push to finish Gen Psych and Ethics during the winter session (online courses). This way, I can still submit an app just before Feb. 1st (I know, that's pushing it).

My main concern is having a very bad academic career. My undergrad history is just....horrible. And, for my prereqs, I wasn't able to pull off a 4.0 (I'm a B average student). But, I'm still hopeful. Sorry for the rant! Congrats to those accepted and best of luck to those waiting to hear back :D.

Also do you know who I can contact regarding prereqs? I'm wondering if my PHIL 2 Intro to Ethics fulfills the ethics requirement

Does anyone know if you need your BLS cert just to apply? It says its needed before the start of the program, but NursingCAS has it listed as a required document to upload.

I had the same question and I emailed the general school email that I found on their website. I have not heard back.

An uploaded a letter stating that you will obtain a BLS certificate prior to the start of the program should suffice.
