Summer 2019 Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel

Published

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone has applied, waiting, or has been accepted to Phillips School of Nursing Mount Sinai Beth Israel for the Summer 2019 semester. I saw other nursing pages for 2017 and 2018 but no ongoing active one for the 2019 semester. Just wanted to connect with some more people on this site regarding the program.

A friend told me they haven't locked the dates down yet so maybe thats why they didn't follow up on that. Thanks for answering me so quickly. I just applied. Do you have healthcare experience or are you making a career change?

That makes sense.

Oh good luck!!! I have a biology BS and decided I wanted to be a nurse! What about you?

I have a BA in Advertising and worked in that for 6ish years

Hey @frankieburney, did you get a reply from Mrs.Gallo about the bootcamp days?

Not yet unfortunately

Did anyone see that they changed the application deadline to February 1? I also have a few other questions, do you know when the semester begins and also if they will be offering a fall cohort? It's so hard to tell from the website.

Do you mind sharing your stats? (gpa, etc)

I didn't get an admission decision yet so not sure if my stats are relevant yet but I'll keep you posted.

I saw it on the NursingCAS (is that what you used to apply?) Sorry I'm trying to figure it all out, I appreciate it!

Hello! Do you mind sharing your stats? I'm worried that my low undergrad GPA may effect my chances of getting in. However, I do have some experience in healthcare and good grades on my prerequisites. Thanks!

I did apply on the CAS. I had a 3.2 in undergrad and a 4.0 in my prereqs and i have 2 prereqs in progress. I have no healthcare experience, only volunteer experience.

Every school "takes a hollistic approach"--don't let your undergrad grades make you feel discouraged

Thank you so much, I'm in a very similar boat. I really appreciate it and good luck to you!
