Summer classes at GCC

Published

Hello everyone! I was wondering has anyone been taking short (5 weeks) summer classes at GCC and how did it go? I can not decide what to take this summer: BIO 201, CHM 130, or BIO 205. I want to take one class for each of two summer semesters and I will be working full time. If anybody took any of these classes during summer, how many hours you spent studying, did you pass and what are you suggestions, which class to take? Is BIO 205 easier than BIO 201, or CHM 130 than BIO201?

Thanks!

That's pretty much what I'm doing. I feel badly that I'm hoping people drop out, but I guess some move to other schools as well. So it's BIO 156 summer I and BIO 201 (or BIO 205 if BIO 201 doesn't open up) summer II

Wish me luck and see you there!

BTW, I'm moving to AZ from CA between now and then. Anyone know any nice places to rent that have access to a pool there?

Thanks!!

Where are you taking BIO201 Glina? I just signed up to take it Saturdays at Phoenix College. Again sort of. (Nah, I didn't flunk out or anything; had to drop it when I got really sick.)

I'm thinking about taking BIO156 through Rio starting end of this month. I don't have to take it (high school biology satisfies the prereq for BIO201/202/205) but think it might really help me with BIO205 especially. That, and I'm itching to get back into school. I was, well still am, seriously bummed that I had to drop A&P this semester.

It all comes down to how much money we have. Rummage sale this weekend! ;)

I am taking BIO 201 at GCC, but in the fall semester. Before I even told her (advisor) that I am taking it in the fall, she told me that summer classes are already full. I remember reading it here, that someone had to be there at 5AM to get into BIO summer classes. OMG!!!

I hope to pass BIO156 and MAT092 during summer, so I can take MAT 121 (Monday, Wednesday)and BIO 201 (Saturdays) in the fall. I am working FT job also and I have two kids, and I have no idea how it will work out :o)))))

Sometimes it's the busier people who manage to do the best. It's all about time management. ;)

GWCC is where I was going for BIO201. They have a good syllabus. You get to drop one quiz, one exam (not the final), one lab quiz, and one lab practical. I believe that's their across the board syllabus, no matter who the instructor is. So do good on your early stuff because it only gets more difficult.

The main reason I didn't enroll for GW's Saturday class is because the lab is before the lecture. That's how it was when I tried to take it there this semester, and it was a major drawback. Doable. But just......not ideal for me.
