Summer 2021 ATL Nurse Residency Programs

Hey, 

I just wanted to create a thread so we can share where we are applying and if/when we hear anything back. I applied to WellStar with my first choice being the ATL campus and ED. I plan to apply to Grady and Piedmont when their application opens in the next few months. Any one else start applying?

Yeah I figured that! Thank you! How'd it go? Did they schedule you an in person interview? Did they ask you simple phone screening questions?

Yes it went well, they just asked why Piedmont, why I wanted to be a nurse, my clinical experience and work experience, and my specialty choice. They sent my information to the manager of the unit I’m interested in and said that I should receive an invite to interview soon. Interviews are all on zoom right now!

I just had my phone interview with Piedmont and it went great! The recruiter is going to forward my info to the hiring manger and she'll be in contact with me soon regarding setting up an interview! She said the earliest they will set an interview is most likely the third week of Feb.

That's great to hear! Mine is next week. What Piedmont location did you have a phone interview with?

The Atlanta location but I told her I'm interested in the Henry, Fayette, and Rockdale hospitals as well.

That’s so good! When did you apply? I applied in December it still says under review. I wonder if I should be nervous about it

I didn't apply to Wellstar but did apply to Northside and still haven't heard anything. Good luck to you guys!
