I just finished taking the TEAS. I haven't gotten my test results back yet but, I do not feel confident about the science portion. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve in this area? Any online places to look at? I do have the ATI guide. I don't feel like the Science is anything you can really study for, but I thought maybe someone else might have a suggestion. I have been out of school 20+ years, so the science is all ancient history for me. Now, if it were A&P only, I think I'd do great. But there was only 1 question in that area!
Also, how long did it take to get your results? Mine said they were blocked until my institution looked at them. GRR....
TIA
wishNhopeNdreamN...let me be the one to maybe get your hopes up. I took the TEAS in Jan. and I FAILED the reading portion. (3.7 gpa over 4 semesters!!!) lol....I retook the Teas in Feb and increased my overall 78% to a respectable 90%...the only difference...I googled the math and science things that I remembered from the test the morning I was doing the retake.
Just a little hint...the test doesn't change!!! same stories, same math problems. I think that is why you have to wait 30 days, to give you time to forget! :)
Good luck, and I suggest if you have time to take it all 3 times! I'm taking it again in 2 weeks and shootin for 95!!!
Hi Vixnnet,
I had to join this site just to say thanks for the link you posted above earlier. I've been trying to study for the TEAS exam the past couple of weeks and the ATI book is okay but I prefer the practice exams better. Thanks for showing them to us. :nuke:
I take my test next week and I don't have the luxury to take it again, so I'm kind of scared. But good luck to you and everyone out there. I'm sure you did great.
Welcome to the site! I thought I should offer my and post the e-mail i sent one of the people that watches these forums.
I thought the test was okay, but some of the wording (especially in the reading section) is very tricky! Math section had a few weird problems, but if you have taken algebra 2 it will be fine. Remember the simple interest formula for the math section and also know how to divide fractions. In the math section, they use a colon ( : ) to signify division sometimes. Science had two or three questions regarding force and gravity. I got the questions that many people talked about on their test (like the space one with three boxes and mixture of two liquids and cooling them to 20C). The science section is VERY random, at least in my opinion. For writing, I suggest you go over the commonly misspelled words for practice; also know the rules for colons, commas, and semi-colons.

I am taking my TEAS tomorrow and am semi-excited. I took a practice test and would love do 5% better than the practice score i got this evening. I bought the study/tips guide people were talking about on here. while i think it has some good info - I knew a bit of it already OR didn't apply to me (subject wise). If anyone would like my PDF copy, send me an e-mail: greatf_ckinname @ yahoo . com
BTW the site i bought the tips manual from has some study tests. i found them on a bonus link page with other bonus files. From what I can tell there isnt a password needed to access the page or the files/links:
