Just moved to Saratoga County in upstate NY. My recent experience is mostly outpatient/clinic/urgent Care. I see there's an urgent care center in/near Wilton with openings (maybe TOO many openings if you get my drift), any other suggestions for similar employment? I've been a nurse for almost 20 years, but my 'floor' experience is many years ago so not sure how well I'd do on a med/surg floor.
Of course, dealing with getting my license by reciprocity is taking forever with the NY boards but that's a story for another thread. Maybe I'll end up bagging at the price chopper instead.

There's the Saratoga hospital, Schenectady has a few hospitals if you don't mind the commute, Glens Falls and Amsterdam are possible. Don't know about the conditions of any of the facilities, been away too long. Ask about precepting for a bit longer since you've been off the floor...or see about refresher courses for returning nurses? Hope things work out well, and try the Freihofer chocolate cookies!!!!

Featherz,
have you considered AMC (Albany Med Ctr?) I also know a thing or 2 about reciprocity.

I'm really not keen on inpatient. I paid many years of dues on a med-surg floor and I'd like to stay outpatient if at all possible. If it's not, well, I'll think of something. =).
