This is my first post here! I've been accepted into Suffolk County Community College's Nursing program beginning in the fall and would like to find others who also have been accepted or already are in the program. I also had a question to ask, the mandatory meeting that was the week of Memorial Day, was there an attendance taken? I've been trying to get in touch with someone at the school because I realized I had missed the meeting, but only have been successful in leaving messages that have yet to be returned.

don't know where that is, but you might try posting it in the state forum where you live. click on "us" up on the top yellow stripe.

as a rule it's a really bad idea to miss a mandatory meeting, because they generally do take attendance. that's what mandatory means.

don't do it again. make sure they have your accurate address and other contact info, be extra vigilant about keeping your calendar up-to-date, and get in the habit of checking it every day without fail. don't rely on voice mail. go over to the school and speak to a live person. all that will communicate that you really are serious about being there.

Thank you for your reply. I am new to this so any advice in posting helps! I did get in touch and was able to patch things up, but I agree time to stay up to date and on top of everything from here on in!

Hi Cait,

I just wanted to ask if you don't mind what pre-reqs did you take prior to applying in the program and your GPA? Where did you take your classes? Im just curious because I will be taking my my pre-reqs at Suffolk and want to know more about qualifications and how to go about in applying in the program.
