Suffolk County Community College LPN to RN Program Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi, my name is Ashley. I created this forum for students applying to Suffolk County Community College's LPN to RN Program for the Spring 2023 semester. No one else has created a forum yet for this year, so I took the liberty of making a forum for us myself. Please feel free to use this forum as a way to support each other throughout this process, help each other, share resources for the TEAS, and ask each other questions. Best of luck to each of you!

It depends on your rubric score I am pretty sure. All your points for each class you took are added together !

Do you know how many seats are there?

I am not sure. I want to say around 30 at each campus? Maybe not quite sure

Do you know where to find info on how they grade using the rubric score?

So, the rubric score is the same for RN and LPN To RN program?

Hi everyone! So I applied to this program as well (LPN-RN) with Grant (Brentwood) being my first choice & from reading and hearing from first hand accounts they’ve taken students in with a TEAS score of 75.6 % and I believe 74% .. that is for the LPN-RN and that is probably subject to change dependent upon the application pool. I completed SCC’s LPN program this past December (if anyone has any questions about that program) also I was denied previously from the RN program I had a 74 on the TEAS back in 2020 for context. Anyways, good luck to everyone and hope to see you in the Spring!

** is anyone else applying to grant ?

I heard they accept the advanced and exemplary first, and if there's space they will accept proficient. Classes such as A&P and Psych will help boost your score. Plus they'll be needed for you to graduate anyway. I figure it would be easier to take them now than worrying about taking them with nursing classes.

Also, email or call admissions to verify they received everything they needed. I tried calling in the Summer but no one picked up, so that's why I emailed. Now that class is in session, it should be easier to get a hold of someone.

Does anyone know when we should find out ?
