Suffolk County Community College LPN to RN Program Spring 2023

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Updated:   Published

Hi, my name is Ashley. I created this forum for students applying to Suffolk County Community College's LPN to RN Program for the Spring 2023 semester. No one else has created a forum yet for this year, so I took the liberty of making a forum for us myself. Please feel free to use this forum as a way to support each other throughout this process, help each other, share resources for the TEAS, and ask each other questions. Best of luck to each of you!

Hi Ashley! I’m applying to the program as well! Best of luck!

Have you taken the TEAS yet?

Not until August for max study time, but thank you!! Have you taken the TEAS yet? Best of luck!!

I did and scored a 76. The test is different than the previous versions of the TEAS. Make sure you study Chemistry! I’m retaking it in early August for a higher score.

I’ve heard about the Chemistry. They are also throwing away I think 6 questions. My theory is that it’s the Chemistry questions to see if they should incorporate Chemistry more into the TEAS, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the tip! Good luck on your retake!

Hello! I got an 81 on the TEAS and I'm not retaking it. Fingers crossed!

Awesome! Best of luck to you! :)

Thank you. You too!

I was told I could email my license and registration rather than going to campus. When I sent it, I never got a reply back that it was received. I tried calling admissions this morning, but no one is picking up. Anyone else having trouble?

Never mind! I ended up emailing them again, and they said they received it and I will find out in October.

Does anyone know how competitive is the LPN to RN??

Hi. I was just wondering if there is anyone applying to RN Spring program. I think LPN to RN is less competitive than regular RN. Correct me if I am wrong.

I applied to the Spring start LPN to RN. I got a 71 on the TEAS. I decided to take it and apply last minute so I only had a few weeks of studying…wondering if anyone knows if I have a chance of getting in with this score.

Did everyone receive a confirmation after they emailed their LPN license? I never received one.
