Suffolk Community College Nursing Program Spring 2020

Published

Hello everyone I am starting a thread for the 2020 Spring nursing program at Suffolk Community College. We can update our rubric and Teas scores. It is a little early but I wish everyone the best!

If you were accepted into the bridge it’s only during the day.

Ok. Thank you.

I did hear that. I guess I just got paranoid for a second there lol

I'm in the LPN program and I know the first semester is just 3 prerequisite classes. Does anyone know, if I already did those classes, do I have to wait to start PNU classes in the fall semester? Or can I start them this spring?

if you have been enrolled in SCCC under a liberal arts degree you could take the prereq classes before starting your LPN program. However, if you are enrolled under the LPN program you may want to speak to counseling. Also, if you take the pre-req. now it would probably be PT and that will impact your financial aid. Every case is different - I recommend speaking with Counseling and Financial Aid to make sure this is feasible.

I’m in at Grant for RN evening !!! Congrats to everyone. And for whoever did not get in, don’t give up, this was not our first time for many of us.
Also, can someone share a bit of info regarding the BLS certification? Where can I sign up for it ? Thank you !!

Hey congrats!!! I just got into Ammerman LPN-RN program they have a website on the nursing handbook available on Suffolk’s website to a place I. Smithtown that offers BLS CPR student discounts too!!??

Has anyone received a candidate form for LPN if not accepted into RN? Just wondering chances at acceptance into LPN program..

Specializes in L&D, ED, Lab.

I’m not sure of the answer to this but just so you know that program was recently expanded, basically tripled in seats, and if you are interested in applying I would contact admissions and see if they will take you, also there is a January application deadline for Lpn as well, it was a great program and going through the Lpn helped me get accepted into the Rn program.

I'm going to the admissions office later this morning. I received a letter in the mail basically stating that I am a candidate for the program if a seat becomes available. Was just wondering if anyone else had experience with this because I don't want to get my hopes up.

I just called the admission lady today telling me the same thing, I applied for the evening program at Grant, I was wondering if you did too?

Not everyone who got a seat in the program will accept. Some ppl have stuff happen in their lives which prevent them from starting the program, others apply for multiple programs & once accepted they’ll decide which one is really best for them so they’ll turn down their seat at xyz college, which then makes it available for you or others whom have received that letter.

I wish you the best.

I wish everyone the best & i am giving up my seat in suffolk which will help someone out who is on the waiting list! Good Luck to everyone!!!!!

Do they offer LPN-Rn programs in both the spring and fall?
