This is a tough one. You have great grades. In the past the grades were sooo important and the TEAS wasn’t. Then they switched to putting so much weight on the TEAS. If you think you will study a lot more and that you will definitely get the advanced then it is worth it. I think most that got in these last couple of rounds had rubrics in the 70s, and an advanced score would boost your rubric significantly.

Just for reference I was accepted into the January 2020 start, attended orientation one month before, so I would anticipate that your orientation would be late July or August and that the pandemic is pushing back notification of that orientation.

FALL 2020 Suffolk County Community College SCCC
Hi @Busymama2 So it has been interesting for sure. Each class and campus are handling it slightly differently. Some professors have adapted more easily to distance learning. My lectures are done though Blackboard collaborate for my nursing class and Zoom for my Micro class. I meet for clinical pre and post conference on Blackboard Collaborate. Clinical is done at home through numerous assignments. We have not been physically going to clinical. The two lab proficiencies that we did not get to are being pushed to next semester, in some classes the students record themself and submit it. We take our exams at home on an app that shuts down your device and recorded you so that you can't cheat. Luckily before this happened we always had ATI and Coursepoint so we have all the materials we need to continue learning at home. I don't know anyone who feels like this has jeopardized their learning and everyone seems to be making the best of it. We are eager to get back to lab and clinical as those cannot truly be replaced online.

Although fall registration for the rest of the college is this coming week beginning on the 13th, nursing students starting in the fall usually cannot register until after orientation, sometimes the same day as orientation. For example my RN program started the end of January 2020 and I was able to register on December 13th 2019 at orientation. Good luck.

I attend the program on the Grant Campus, a close friend attends Ammerman. The programs are extremely similar they even have orientation together the same day at the Ammerman campus. That being said they are slightly different. The Grant campus tends to have clinical a little more west on the island. Also its different professors and a different person running the program so changes are made to the syllabus at their discretion. Overall its basically the same thing.

Regarding acceptance letters. the Usps has a service that lets you preview your mail. You can see what’s coming that day digitally. It’s better than waiting around the mailbox. It’s not available in every town but in most it is. secondly if you are denied it will come in a standard envelop. If you are accepted it’s an 8 by 11 large envelope. I personally have seen people accepted, denied, or waitlisted. I have seen people pulled off of the waitlist days before classes were to begin. maintain hope and faith, and if you are denied don’t give up. Financially there is no better option than Suffolk. Your time will come. I was denied three times I’m currently in the program and have two semesters left.

Suffolk County Community College LPN to RN bridge experience
I am in the Grant bridge program. It's going really well. The professors make the exams with a private question bank they have on ati. They tend to be a little trickier than the normal questions but still doable. Our first exam was Friday and the grades ranged from 70-100.

FALL 2020 Suffolk County Community College SCCC
Hello all. I graduated from the Suffolk LPN program and I'm in my 1st of 3 semesters of the bridge program at Suffolk. I'm also available for questions. I highly recommend the LPN program if you do not get accepted into traditional RN. This time around my TEAS was 80 and rubric was in the 70s. I got in without having taken micro and so did some of my classmates but I recommend taking it before the program. I honestly have had an amazing experience with this program and highly recommend it. I am on the Grant campus. Clinical this semester is Pilgrim for mental health and Brookhaven for med surg. In the LPN program I did med surg 2 at Eastern Long Island Hospital, fundamentals at Consolation nursing home and maternity at St. Cats. In order to somewhat choose where you are going you have to register for that section but its subject to change. Other choices this semester included State vets home, Stonybrook hospital, gerwin nursing home and Southside. Clinicals are one day a week and the hours vary but are 8-2, or 8-5 or similar to that.

Hi, I was at the orientation and received the Ati info in the packet but I’m in the advanced placement day program so I don’t want to give you the wrong information. Call the campus and ask to speak to the nursing office and they can foward it to you. You will need to select your campus and program in Ati and then enter your CDN number. good luck.
