Hi everyone - I'm considering going to nursing school and after much thought, I'm seriously considering going for an ADN vs. BSN. I already have a degree and am a stay at home mom. The accelerated BSN programs I've looked into require a ton more pre-req courses and one is at a private (so a lot of $$$ and religion courses) and the other strongly suggests students don't work. So, this tells me I shouldn't have much of a life outside of school...not practical for me.
When I met with the advisor at the school that I'm considering going to get the ADN from, she said with my GPA they could guarantee me a spot. The other schools have tons of people applying.
I'm just feeling like it might be a waste of time getting my ADN when I already have a BSN and the length of time would be the same. But, my family comes first and I just think the ADN would be better for them.
Any thoughts or has anyone done this before???
