This is part is driving me crazy and I wonder if you guys have any tips. Im creating flash cards but I feel like I'm spending to much time on Meds. The books I'm using literally has about 500 meds that I need to memorize and learn side effects for and whats worse is my friends who have taken the test say that the nclex tests on some of the most random medications in the book. How can I learn what I need to for the meds and still have time to study EVERYTHING ELSE I need to pass the nclex?

I took the Nclex-pn on January 25,2012, which was Wednesday and it was really hard. I only had 3 drugs that I had never heard of so i just looked at the prefix and related it to the category of drugs. My test had like 7 or 8 select all that apply and it was really hard to choose them. I tell you one thing, I tried to study and prepare for the exam for like 3 weeks and you would be better just taking it as soon as you get out of school because you just really cannot study for it. The questions I had, you just had to be good at critical thinking. I dont know if I passed the test or not because Louisiana does not participate in quick results, but I did do the Pearson Vue Trick and got the supposedly good pop up. I left out of there thinking that I bombed the test. Its like I knew a few answers but I also felt like I was guessing alot. I took my time and read each question slowly with the headphones covering my ears the entire time. I should get my results tomorrow, I hope that I'll be blessed to call myself an LPN. Goodluck to you.
